To The Middle

The arch is the top middle of the piece.  That means progress!  So far, it's all make the outline then fill it in.  Filled in part of the lower area then made the outline of the arch.  At least it's a different color.

Au Revoir For Now

I am putting this away for a bit because I'm working on too many large projects at the moment.  I hope to pick it up again in a couple of months.  For now, I've got a good start and have learned a bit from working on it.

March On Georgia

We went to Tblisi restaurant with a large group of people in January.  Because we were a large group, we did a pre-ordered group menu.  The fresh everything was really good, and they have one of the best grilled meat bargains around.

Topping It Off

I've decided from here on out to work top down.  This is the upper border in progress.  Maybe things will go faster this way?

St. George

I saw this kit and thought of Andreas' love of St. George, so I bought it.  I'll put it in my suitcase when I move, and will have a big project to work on while I wait for my stash.

Lots Of Blue

I started back up on Snowfall.  It's kind of slow going because paper is harder to cross stitch on than linen.  Ah well - it's time to get it done.  I do want to complete a bunch of small projects before we move.  That way I'll have fewer WIP's sitting at the dock in Luanda or Brussels for months.

On To Nobil

Had a group lunch at Nobil Hotel on Martin Luther King Day.  It was a good experience, and it's still nearly unbelievable that you can get food of this quality plus a drink for 150 lei (around $9).  This special is only on weekdays at lunch, but it's still spectacular.

Two Flowers

Two flowers done now on the border.

To The Left

More background done on the left.  Things are taking shape.  There's so much, so it's hard to see progress.

Snowy Puppy

Mattie loved the snow in mid December.  Unfortunately, we haven't had much snow this year.  This is especially unfortunate because Mattie will not be seeing snow again for at least two years.

No More Red

I'm done with the red part now!  Yay!  This means I'm pretty close to being done.

January Carnations Done

Yay, my first finish from my 2015 Crazy January!  It's also the first month done on the flower of the month stitchalong, and I have eleven more to go.  Each of these flowers has a large amount of stitching in the middle, so this is going to turn out to be a lot of work.

Pizza At Paradise

As usual on our way from Romania, we stopped in Birlad for pizza when driving back from Sighisoara.  The pizza and service were as good as usual, even though the summer terrace was closed.

Winging It

One wing's about done.

Got A Chimney

The chimney is now done.  I've got some other small bits of the other home done now, too.

Birches

We had seen this piece several times at MolDeco and had admired it.  We'd also noted how inexpensive it was.  Finally, last time we were there, we bought it.  When we move to Angola, this will hang over our bed.  It's huge and cost less than $80.

Hungarian Burger King

We were very tired when we rolled in to Budapest, so we saw this Burger King just around the corner from the hotel and went.  This was the first Burger King we'd seen in eastern Europe.  It was very similar to American, but the fries were better.

Made A Headband

I finally got to play around with one of my For The Makers kits and made this headband.  Looks kind of neat.

Filling In Wings

I've been filling in wings this time.

Breakfast At C House

Since C House opens at eight in the morning, we decided to go there for breakfast a couple of months ago.  I started with a cappucino.  Andreas had a hot chocolate.  They need to make a breakfast menu, though.  We both ended up with tasty sandwiches.

Another City Done

All the buildings on the left are done.  From here on out I'm going to work this top to bottom.

Welcomed

A crazy January finish.  This one was started a couple of years ago and is now officially done.  Yay!

Cute Hearts

When we were picking up framing at MolDeco, we bought these little stitched hearts.  Together, they were under $15.  I really like them!  They were made by the ladies who do the order taking at MolDeco.

Back To Pekin

We actually took the Friday group to the Chinese restaurant, Pekin, the day after we tried it out.  Everyone enjoyed their food, but there were a few problems from the kitchen.  Evidently they have to be reminded to finish orders for tables.  The only other problem - no duck sauce for the egg rolls.

Harboring A Flower

My Serenity Harbor sampler is beginning to get bordered.  This thing is huge - nearly 200 x 600 stitches.  Anyway, I've decided to stitch from my Hand Dyed Fibers stash.  I will probably have to buy some as I go farther, but for now, it works.

Slowpoke

I did some of the area right of the peacock and am wondering if I'm ever going to get this done.

Goldwork!

Yay!  I get to start some goldwork.  Jen Goodwin is teaching it for the CyberStitchers chapter.  The kit is beautifully packaged.

New Chinese

A new Chinese restaurant opened a few blocks from the embassy.  We went for lunch with Theresa before inviting the group to go for Friday dinner.  They did a pretty good job!
