Finished Finished

I had been debating turning this into a cushion or getting it framed.  As you can see, the framing won and I think MolDeco did a great job!

More Brown

I am very happy to be done with the tree and hope that soon I will be done with the first part of the brown house....

Krakow Watercolors

We bought these prints at the main square in Krakow, and MolDeco did a great job framing them!

Peas In Bloom

This particular square is still going quickly.  I'm hoping to have it finished in time to start May on May first.

Another Level Done

The gridding is done all the way across  the top.  Time to work down again.

Temari - Been A While

I am making this temari for two reasons - for a friend who's going through a difficult time and because Talk Temari is going through kiku variations.  I like the look of this so far.

Working On The Sky

I am officially done with the first part.  It's on to the second and some leaves and clouds.

Firefly Prints

We're big Firefly fans and Andreas found these prints of original art somewhere.  He bought  them and we got them framed.  They're all the same size and framed the same way.

Still Leafing

This second leaf is pretty dense, stitchwise, so I'm still working on the first level of the blackwork pattern.  Hopefully I'll have it filled soon.

Russian Currency

Andreas spotted this at MolDeco and had to have it.  The currency is from tsarist Russia.

Beskyed

My cactus now has a sky behind it.  All I need is to fill in all the middle parts.  When I work on it, it goes quickly.  Unfortunately, I've not been able to work on much all week this week.

Spring Is Here - First Dandelion

Well, it looks like the dandelions are out. Can summer be far away?

Bright On Top

Another butterfly done, yay!  This makes two, and one of them large.  It's almost halfway done.

Spring Is Here - Spot The Sharr

Each of these photos has a very large dog in it.  I promise.

Outlining Along

The complete width is here now, and I am working on getting more lines done.  I've given up on filling in for the moment; if I make a counting mistake, there will be fewer stitches to rip out.

Spring Is Here - Evil

Even though we have two cats, I hate cats.  Cats are evil.  These photos were taken by Andreas while he was taking flower pictures for me.  You can tell from some of the looks he's giving that he's evil.

On To Fencing

I have a problem at the moment in that I am missing a color of Treasure Braid.  It's ordered but hasn't been shipped yet.  That's the reason for the gap in the metallics on the left.  On the other hand, I'm making pretty good progress otherwise.

Visible Snowflakes

There are some snowflakes waiting to be beaded poking out of the background now.

Spring Is Here - Daffodils

The daffodils bloomed a couple of days after the tulips.  I don't know why they're later here.  Usually it's the reverse.  Anyway, on the day the photos were taken, they looked beautiful and cheery.

Spring Is Here - Tulips!

For the past couple of weeks, tulips have been blooming in my yard.  Aren't they pretty?  The daffodils are blooming, as are the cherry trees too.  It's still pretty chilly most of the time, though.

First Part Finally Done

With the completion of the flower on the right, I'm finally done with the first of twelve parts.  I've gotten part of the second part done, but I am finding it hard to ensure I line things up properly.  It seems area between the parts doesn't overlap on charts.  I hope I haven't made any counting mistakes so far.  Needless to say, my color choices are all dfferent, as they're from my stash of Vikki Clayton's Hand Dyed Fibers.  I'm hoping to do the whole thing from stash.

Silk Mill Sale

The Silk Mill had a sale a few weeks ago.  The package on the right was free when I bought the package on the left.  It's all a good deal.  Love all the colors.

Uncovering The Other

The peahen is beginning to make her appearance in front of the peacock.

Sale Thread

Fireside Stitchery had a sale a few weeks ago on Gloriana perle 12 thread.  I bought two lots and ended up with these eight gorgeous skeins.  Can't wait to use them.

Gilding The Structure

No actual gargoyle stitching this time.  I did more of the golden structure in the middle and the squares on the sides.
