More Mysteriquos

While we were there, Andreas couldn't sit still and doesn't dance, so he used his camera to play with light.  Here are more pics of the gig at Love and War in Texas in late August.

Stripes

Candy cane spindles on this temari.  It joins the others for the winter bazaar on Saturday!  We've packaged them like candies in clear cellophane bags with ribbons.

Flower Outlined

I got a whole top flower done.  There are three total there.  This is coming along and I'm wondering if I should start to do the background in areas that are alread bounded.  That way I don't have -all- of it to do at the end.

Walt Wilkins and the Mysteriquos

On one of our last nights in Texas in August, my brother took us to see Walt Wilkins and the Mysteriquos.  They played at Love and War in Texas, which is a restaurant and outdoor patio in Plano.  One of the Mysteriquos, Tommy Alverson, is a good friend of my brother's, and we sat with his fiance and some others at a picnic table in back while the band was being taped for the show "The Roadhouse."  The music was good Texas country blues and the company was great too.  When next we get back to Texas, we'll see them again.

Where the Sidewalk Ends

More on the sidewalk and it's now extended farther out than the house.

Twinkle Done

I've finished the twinkle ornament.  It looks pretty good, but that linen floss is very stiff.  Now to make it into a real ornament.

Minor League

We not only saw the major league Texas Rangers, we also saw the minor league Fort Worth Cats while we were in Fort Worth in August.  We bought tickets on the day of the game and managed to get seats right behind home plate for under ten dollars.  If you like baseball and want to take the whole family, minor league is the way to go.  The game was good even though the bullpen blew it in the eighth and ninth innings.
