Handmade Pay It Forward....

Handmade Pay It Forward....
I was selected by Teresa Ball to receive something handmade from her by the end of the year.  Her only stipulation was that I offer the same to five more people.  So... if you want to receive something made by me, comment here!  I'll make something by the end of the year for the first five people to comment.  If you look through my blog, you can see the kinds of things I make ... though I might try something completely different, like a batch of cookies or even homemade pretzels.

I posted this on Facebook and decided to offer it here.  So, not only five people on Facebook, but five people here too!

Before you comment, I'm making the same stipulation she did.  If you get something from me, make five things for other people!

You Know It's Cold When...

...the lock mechanism on the inside of your  door frosts over.  These pictures are before the snow that fell Monday and Tuesday.  We have about a foot more in the yard now.

All In One Corner

Everything I'm working on is in the lower left corner now.  It's progressing.  Maybe I can get this corner done in the next month or two.

Sweet Flowers Part One

I've finished part one of this stitchalong.  I still haven't figured out why mysteries like to start at the bottom, but I did it despite my dislike of that.  I love the colors I chose and hope to complete this on time!  The next part doesn't come out until near the end of February.

Dinners At The Beer House

These pictures are from a couple of dinners at the Beer House.  It seems to have become our de facto go to restaurant in town.  This may be because we don't really want to explore much in the snow and cold.  Anyway, lots of different kinds of food!

Last Of The Roses

Rita's block was the last one I worked on in the Roses, Roses, Roses round robin.  As you can see, it's pretty full, with the exception of the middle.  Not even a seam empty!  I had two options - make a really dramatic middle or tone the middle down to let the other works around the edges draw the eye.  Because of the prints, I decided to go with the latter.  You can see my work below.

Still On Top

I am still working on the top row, but there's a bit more being worked down with the different colors.  I'm very pleased with the fabric substitution I made.
