Throw Out The Rotation

Christmas is almost here, so it's time to do Christmas stitching.  I have therefore changed my rotation.  It's mostly Christmas things and items near completion.  This is one of my crazy January challenges, Candy Cane Snow.  I hope to have it done before Christmas.

My New Lunch Box

I've loved bento boxes for a while now, and when these came up on ebay, Andreas bought them for me.  Aren't they cute?  I've already used the box and chopsticks at the cafeteria, and will more often after Christmas.

One Marine Family

The Manzi-Fortisch family left Chisinau bereft at the end of last month when they left for Frankfurt.  We all miss them, and they ALL exemplify the best of military families.  The only one not pictured is the youngest daughter, who didn't get to attend the ball.

All Finished Up

I finally got the oomph to finish this, and it's now in the hands of a member of the military.  Yay!  Another success!

One Big Birthday Cake

When you're as old as the Marines, you need a BIG cake!

Finally, TAST Week Ten

It's been quite a while since I worked on this.  That sampler stitchalong took over, and I wasn't able to do much.  Sooo.... I'm back to it!  The tenth week was running stitch.  I found this darning pattern and turned it sideways to use.  I like it!

Good Looking Marines!

Our Marine Security Detachment is only five Marines and a Gunny here.  The Marine on the right in the top picture was visiting. All the rest are our detachment.  We were down one (not yet assigned) at the time of the Ball.  Aren't our Marines good looking in their dress blues?
