Got Birdie

Yup, the bird's there, so I'm officially more than halfway across the top!

Just Green

On weeks like this, where I'm just adding more color to an area I've already started, I feel like I'm making no progress at all.  I know I did make progress.  I just have to look close up to see it.

Bringing The Buckets

I've started doing some real bands now - first up, sand buckets.

Down To Pink

Two more rows done, including pink half-Rhodes.

Reflected

If you look closely at the ornament, you'll see the Natural History Museum reflected in it.

On The Rig

Just off the quay in Galveston there's an oil rig that's been repurposed into a museum.  It's called the Ocean Star, and it's a pretty neat place.  There are a lot of very detailed and beautiful models of oil rigs and ships.  The process of drilling offshore, from finding oil through production, is detailed in the museum.  As the museum's sponsors are various businesses related to oil, the perspective of the place is pro-oil.  At the same time, it gives factual information regarding the process and how people work and live on oil platforms.  Definitely worth the visit.

Pumpkins All Stacked

Another ornament all finished.  If you remember, I finished this piece while on home leave in the US.  I finished it into this ornament as a late Christmas present.  It came out pretty well, I think.
