World Heritage

Evidently this salt mine has been on the world heritage list since the beginning.  And miners are escaping.  I'm sure there's nothing related between those two statements.

The bottom photo is a place where you can take a selfie with an installed camera and email it to yourself or someone else.  Kind of neat.

Bright Baby Afghan

First afghan of  the new year done.  It's for the fourth baby of some friends, so I made it bright and easily seen.

Hungarian Beeswax

Adding to my international beeswax collection with a piece from Budapest.

To The Gift Shop

At the end of every tour is the gift shop.  This one's no exception.  There are a lot of neat rocks and such, and a glass elevator for a view.  Otherwise, it's kind of blah.

Back To The Colonial

Although I received my Needle Arts just before Christmas, I was unable to work on my Colonial Band Sampler until this past week.  As you can see, I got a flower done.  There's not all that much left to do, and I will have it done by the next CyberStitchers meeting.

Shiny

My other purchase in Hungary is this barrette.  It's made completely of horn and feels so smooth and cold.  I like the way it looks with the stripes.

Real Miners!

Some miners doing repair work on a tunnel.  It was good seeing some actual work being done.
