Back In The Middle

The lines in the middle are getting a little attention now.  One of them is even to the bottom half of the circle.

Rudi Monastery

This little monastery is a religious community just northwest of Soroca.  We visited it when we went there.  The first weird thing was that, because I was wearing jeans, then made me put a skirt on over them.  Just .... odd.  The priests here are married, and their families live with them at the monastery.  It's right near the Nistru, and you have to go through the woods to get to it.  These are some of the buildings there.  You can see that there are actual homes.

Still On Track

My August flower is still on track to be done by the end of the month despite all the moving prep and the social obligations of leaving post.

July Sunflowers

July is beautiful in Moldova because the sunflowers bloom.  We took these photos of sunflower fields on the way home from EtCetera Winery.

I was originally going to make this into a small pillow, but Andreas convinced me to get it framed.  I think they did a beautiful job.

In The Orchard

Before we left EtCetera, we were asked to pick some nectarines and peaches to take home.  They were pretty and ripe and wonderful tasting.
