The Brooke's Books Interactive group on Yahoo is having a spring exchange, and I am participating. Here's the start of my exchange piece. It's got no cross stitch, but is mainly satin and Algerian eye stitches.
It's a French freebie from les fils de mimie (www.lesfilsdemimie.be) and was done originally in winter colors. I decided to use two DMC variations - 4060 and 4090 and two coordinating solids. I agree that the colors pop, moreso than I thought they would.
Very lovely! Who designed it? What fibres are you using....c'mon, inquiring minds want to know!

The colors are gorgeous on this piece and I love the design also.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all the pictures of the Carnaval, they were gorgeous and I enjoyed looking at them. Looks like a lot of fun!

ReplyDeleteThanks Missy for the Carnaval comment, too!
