So here is the pillow all made up.  The recipient liked it a lot, and it was a really quick stitch!

    Thank you both! And Anne-Lise, WTF is an acronym for a not-quite-proper phrase used mainly on the internet. It is used when you're is put into a situation you're confused about and are amazed. The made-for-children version is WTH, or What the Hell? I hope that helps!
