All the long, skinny flowers are done. Not much left on this - just the butterfly.

Another Better Meal

This was lunch at a little Asian place not far from the hotel in Berlin. Tasted good on a chilly, rainy day.

This squirrel taunts Grayson all the time.

Some Quilty Boxes

I use the little scissors in the box pictured above all the time. They cut well and feel nice. The rest ... I will start quilting more when we get things set up better and I'm all alone in the house.

I bought this at Viking Loom when we visited York, and now it's time to start it. I've done outlining so far. It's a challenging piece.

 

Birthday Dinner in Berlin

After that awful experience with the Italian food, we fared much better when we decided to do steak on my birthday. The concierge at the Ritz made the reservation, which we didn't need because it was a quiet week night. Better safe than waiting, though. Food and service were great, and we had leftovers to bring back.

 

Dud of a Riolis Grab Bag

This Riolis grab bag didn't have anything that truly caught my interest, but my next door neighbor has people she can give these to.

Awful Italian Food

We couldn't find anywhere open to eat on the Sunday we were in Berlin. In desperation, we went into Calice D'Oro. Big mistake. This was the blandest and saddest Italian meal I have ever had. Service was awful, too. We relearned the lesson not to go to restaurants on tourist streets.

 

Cross Stitched

Finally all the cross stitches are done. On to the specialty stitches and beads.

Kerrie got us a hilarious calendar for Christmas. It hangs in our office. Andreas wouldn't let me bring it to work.

 

The Wall

Can't go to Berlin without seeing the wall, or what's left of it. The red lines in the pics are where the wall used to be. The rest - well, it's a wall.
