Door Wreath

Got this cute door wreath for Christmas. It's held up very well and is still on our front.
 

Lunch Out

There was nice weather on a Friday, so Andreas took me out to lunch. This place is about a ten minute walk from the office. It's good, too. Right on Plac Konstitucja, it's called U Szwejka. We split a schnitzel and each had a soup - he had zurek and I had gulash. Both were nice and warming. We had leftovers, too.

Not Quite American Food

While Jeff's Diner has the atmosphere down, the food is disappointing for an American vibe. Everything is just - off. The nachos were sad. It was such a disappointing experience.

Considering what this is, it could be from any of a dozen restaurants I can think of. Anyway, Andreas enjoyed it.

 

Sheraton Perq

Because we've made platinum status, when we check in to a Marriott property, we get a nice little gift of some sort. This was from the Sheraton Grand Krakow.

 

Krakow in August

Because we all donated at work, we got a raccoon poster. Isn't it cute?

This smaller tree was in the courtyard. It was pretty blingy, but didn't change color like the one in front.

Between Leonora being gone and us being sick for part of December, we didn't get to travel. At least Warsaw has a Christmas market, so I kept that streak. These photos are in the old square and in front of the Royal Palace. No snow, though.

 

Bag Bling

I bought this at the fantasy fair in December. It's now on my green purse as bag bling - exactly what I bought it for.

 

Saint Nick Gift

Poland is one of the countries that does their stockings on December 6. This is what I found in mine at my work. Thank you colleagues!

 

Red Squirrel

We have a red squirrel that visits our backyard often. Andreas caught him in our trees. He is the bane of Grayson's existence.

 

Ornament Factory

There is a major ornament factory in Josefzow, right outside Warsaw. We went; it's a couple of small buildings. These first are sample ornaments. They let us paint our own ornaments, and we even were able to buy in the gift shop.

 

Air Show in Poland

We went to the Radom Air Show at the end of August. It was hot; it was under resourced; and it was rainy. We ended up going for only one day out of the four - a choice on Sunday and an inability due to Andreas' work on Friday and Monday. We bought spotter's tickets - the best tickets available to the public and the ones photographers get. There was no shade; the meals were almost non-existent; and the place had nearly 200k people at it - meaning you couldn't really move about in the public areas to even buy a drink. Lines were over a hundred people deep. Plus, the air show itself was rather disorganized in the air.
