Close to Winged

Only a tiny bit more to go on the wings.

 

Working the Wings

The wings are close to being done, and the butterfly's body is almost complete. Will be so happy when I finish the wings.

 

Lots of Tail to Do

I am working on the tail right now. It's the most colorful bit, so it's interesting. Most of the rest of the piece is tail.

 

Working on Wings

This is the single largest stitched area in the whole piece. Once I'm done with it, I'm more than halfway through.

 

About to Fly

Butterfly has a body now and is looking like it's about to fly off. Getting started on a bluebell too.

 

Back to the Tail

Getting more done on the tail; it's a lot of fiddly bits.

 

One Darker

The back wing is definitely darker than the front. They both stand out well on this fabric, at least.

 

Still Branching

I am -so close- to the peacock's tail again, but still have a bit of branch fill to go.

 

Half Wings

The wings are the single largest area of stitching on this piece. And I am now halfway done with them. 

 

Putting Little Flowers In

Not really visible yet, but there are little flowers on the left hand bottom side. Getting them put in before starting again on the peacock tail.

 

Merged

The wings are merged now and about a third of the way done. This photo is a lot more blue than the work itself.

 

Winging The Back

Made a bit of progress on the back wing. Still lots of wing to go.

 

Back to the Branches

I am back to the tree branches on the left now. It's good to be four pages done.

 

Merging Wings

Wings are merging together. But they're still only about a third done.

 

Time for the Fifth Page

 

There are a few more stitches to work on before starting the fifth page. Lots done!

Merging Wings

Two eyes visible and working on merging the wings into one blob now. They are the single largest element of the whole piece.

 

Two Wingtips

I've reached the top of both wings. Time to fill them in by working downwards.

 

Time for the Peahen

This little peahen is about to get some love.

 

Met Up with Tamara

And she brought some good things from Moldova! Thank you Tamara! It was great seeing you.

 

Onto the White Breast

Getting to be able to work on the peahen now. Since her blocks are a bit more solid, I should be a bit quicker.
