One of our favorite barbeque joints in Fort Worth - Railhead. I always get the same thing and it never disappoints. Can't wait to visit again in August.

World Series Swag

We had to get World Series swag when the Rangers won it for the first time ever. And I use it every day.

 

New Wallet

I had been trying to downsize my wallet for a while. Found this one at Cavender's, and it's perfect. It also takes up half the space in my purse as my old one.

I bought the compass rose canvas at the French Knot on top of these things. The blues are for the canvas.

Both of these bags are from Myrna Bags. I bought the top one in Texas and the bottom in Colorado.

Last Lunch At Esperanza

Last visit to Esperanza's before leaving Texas. I miss real Mexican food.

Last Chance At Fried Pickles

The burger was good, but it was the fried pickles that made this meal. It was at one of the places on Seventh Street in Fort Worth. Bar area. But fried pickles. I think this was the last time I've had them. I wonder if I could make them.

Sweet Mesquite

I like Sweet Mesquite's barbecue and their fried okra, so we headed there on one of our last days in Fort Worth. Turns out the one we went to had a kitchen fire a few days later. Anyway, it tasted truly wonderful.

Medieval Feast

When on home leave, we like to catch the Ren Faire down in Magnolia. We went with friends who had never been before. It was great, though we were a bit disappointed in the entertainment at the feast. Previously,  there were several acts who would pop in and do short versions of their shows. Last year, only one did. 

Needlepoint Store Score

The French Knot put together some grab bags. We went for something else. Andreas gravitated to the bags and pulled out the ones he thought would interest me. We brought them home.

Ghengis Grill

This is a place we always go to on home leave, too. It's one of Andreas' favorites - pick your stuff and sauce, and they grill it for you. This is usually combined with my eye exam because they're located close to each other.
