The wizard's robe is now all filled in and there's more outlining done on the outside.  Got some more outer vine done, too.  I feel like I've made some significant progress while doing this daily.

The owl's definitely getting personality now.  

Halfway Mark

Yay, I'm to the halfway mark on this!  It's looking pretty good, except for my picture of it.

One More Branch

One more branch bit done on the left.  Things are moving along.

Lunch At Ollympians, Alexandria

 Last week I went shopping with a friend at Wegman's in Alexandria.  After shopping, we decided to eat lunch at a place close by called Olympians.  It was still just before noon on a weekend, so they were still serving breakfast, too.  We decided to do Greek.  I introduced her to Greek cheese - saganaki - and we had a bunch of food, including leftovers.  The avgolemono was good, though it could have used more lemon and less rice.  The gyro meats were also good. Tzatziki was a bit runny.  

This is one of those restaurants that tries to do everything.  On its menu was breakfast, Greek , Italian, pizza, and hamburgers.  They could do a lot better if they cut down the menu and concentrated on doing fewer things well.

Slowed Down Again

Since this is no longer the daily stitch, it's slowed down a lot. Still making progress on the stylized flowers. 

Left Started

The left gargoyle is now started and there's more of the arch done on the right.  Looks like progress to me.

An Empty Fourth

I've now got the fourth section outlined.  Slowly things are getting done.  It needs to be filled in next.

Samplered

This sampler is done!  One more crazy January start to cross off my list.  Sending it home  to Africa now to await framing.

On To The Bottom Fingers

The leaves are rotating around  the side now.  Top's done, time to move to the bottom!

Squiggling Around

It's been a few years since I pulled this out, and I'm done with some Chatelaines, so it's time to work on another.  I'm between the second and third parts of this and think it's beginning to look kind of neat.

Awful Photo

The photo sucks.  This is why I hate taking photos myself.  But at least you can see the progress I made on both edges.  The hippie medallions are almost complete.

Working On The Fourth

I'm well on the way to doing the fourth row now.  It's coming along, I think, pretty well.

Still Unbalanced

The right gargoyle is getting kind of big, but nothing on the left yet.  I promise it's coming.

Dark Photo

I'm sorry for the dark photo.  This is what happens when I take the shots instead of Andreas.  On the other hand, I did manage to get yet another row done.  I only have three or four more to go.

Back To Green

I've started doing more green again, and I had to clean up some on the lower areas.  Most of the mistakes from before are fixed and I am plowing ahead with the piece.

Shopped Some Silk

I just had to buy some skeins of silk too, right?

Round And Round We Go

Got the almost inner round done too, now.  It does show up better in person.

Kits And Patterns

While at In Stitches, I bought a few patterns and a couple of kits.

Moose Antlers?

With the top sets of leaves done, the blossom looks like it's waving its hands over its head - the way kids do when they're imitating moose antlers.  Yes, I'm silly in my imagination sometimes.  On the other hand, it's definitely getting done, which is a good thing.

More Motifs

I have a bit more motif done on this since I first picked it up.  It's become my purse/backpack default piece because of its small size.

Stashy Stuff

All these stash photos are coming from my Saturday trip to In Stitches in Alexandria.  Turns out they're now the only store in the area, as Needlewoman East has closed.  These bits are for me!  I love the jazzed up q-snaps. and the larger piece of fabric will be for all that thread for dragons from yesterday.

DMC For Project

This is the pile of thread for Dragons Entwined, a pattern I will be starting soon for Andreas.

Third Band Done

After over a week of this being a daily project, I got all the way to the other side!  It feels good to make a lot of progress on a big project without a lot of pressure.

May Done

May took only a few days to do!  I think it came out pretty well.

Julep Unboxing

 My first Julep box came a few days after I left Angola for the US.  Andreas did this nice unboxing shoot for me.  Now I need to go home and try things out.  I'm hoping Julep will be more reliable than ipsy because I'm doing the non nail polish option, much as I hate that.

Three And A Bit

I've been kind of slow on this, but I blame changing continents for the slowness.  I've brought this with me back to the US and will be putting it back on stretcher bars later today.  In the meantime, before I left Angola, I managed to get three blocks done plus started to outline the fourth.

Row By Row

I took this photo and all the rest for the next few weeks, so the quality's low.  Another row done on this, which means only four or five more to go.

One More Hairpin

This is the last of the peacock feather hairpins Andreas bought me.  It is different because it has a pearl on the base.  I like it!

Reset

After giving up on the filament silk, here's the restart of the Blackwork Challenge.  I also started from the middle this time.

A Gift Of Tea

I received this tea from China from someone from there.  It's as pretty as it tastes!

New Stash

This was on sale from Tanja Berlin.  I had to buy it because of Andreas' love of owls.

Five Leafy Fingers

I now have five leaves done.  Beginning to feel some progress. If I can shake this jet lag, I can get more done.

New Clutch

This is my new purse.  Andreas bought it for me after I showed him a site with a bunch of bespoke clutches on it.  This one's just as pretty and quite a bit less expensive.  It's also very well made.

There's A Staff

A bit more wizard and background are done.  This one is going fairly well, and it will probably be the daily for the latter half of May.
