Big Group At Papasul Dacilor

We ended up with a group of ten at Papasul Dacilor last month. It was a great time, and we were out on the terrace overlooking the river.  The food and company were both excellent.  Some of us had champagne, some beer, and others had ... some juice kiwi thing!

They gave us these cute little bird rolls.  The eyes, by the way, were peppercorns.  Some of us found that out the hard way.   There were the usual appetizers - Greek salad, placinte, and zeama.  I loved the way they presented the zeama in a big crock with a lid.

The main course for most of us was the meat platter.  They claimed it was for  two or three people, but it fed six of us comfortably.  Others had the pork tocana with mamaligia and french fries.

Cappucino and chocolate for dessert rounded off the great meal.

Exchange Beginning

Can you guess what this is?  It's for an exchange that needs to go out by the end of the month!

Pegas Dinner

It's been fine enough for a lot of outdoor dining lately, and we were at Pegas last month with the McCabes.  I tried the carpaccio there, and it was excellent.  The arugula went well with the meat, and you can see the beautiful presentation.  we also had the lovely brie and pears, some zeama, and some salads for the first course.  All wonderful as usual.

I had a steak salad for dinner, and Andreas had the rabbit pasta dish.  I do believe rabbit alfredo has become one of his favorite things.  For dessert, there was creme brulee, cheesecake, and lava cake.  We ended up a bit larger when we went home, but it was worth it!

Creeping Up The Side

I've not been able to stitch as much as I've wanted to lately, and it shows in the small progress I've made on my Dreams Sampler.

Flaking

More white and blue added.  I'm getting closer to the middle.

Columbine And Sage

Our columbine has been seeding itself all through the garden.  We now have several plants in unusual places.  The dianthus is spreading, and the roses are going crazy, as usual.  It's been wet enough this year that the sage has been blooming, too.  Andreas says it's the first time he's seen sage bloom.

Blue Corners

All the corners are blue now, and I've got the buildings done on the last side.  It's all green scallops and wall for this last corner.
