Meady Meal

We had a nice-ish evening, so Andreas, Yvette, and I went to a little Polish cafe and ate outside.  It was cold enough to sample the mead, though, so each of us got a different grade.  Mine was the 4x (Jadwiga), and it was excellent.  The 1x was really good too, but the 2x had a musty smell to it that put Andreas off.  The rest of the meal will be in another post.

Safety First And Last

This is some rescue gear from the 1980's for the mine.  The mine still employs three rescue teams, two of which were working a coal mine collapse in Germany when we were in Krakow in October.

Serenity Temari

This is a gift for a friend who's a big Firefly fan.  The idea is that it mimics the Serenity Valley flag.

Lunch At Moaburger

Our friends had told us that Moaburger was very good, so we went.  The company is from New Zealand.  I found the burgers huge and the staff friendly.  They even changed up the burgers without fuss.

See The Salt

All the gray walls in the mine are salt.  It's all food grade salt, even.  They let you lick the walls.  Anyway, it doesn't really look like salt until you shine a light on it.

Fobbing Along

I took this with me on our trip and got some more of it done while in the hotel room in Budapest.  It's a quick little thing.

Milkshake For Breakfast

It was a rainy day and there was a marathon starting at the square, so we decided to breakfast at Cafe Marius.  This place is just off the main square and claims to do breakfast .... my baguette was full of veggies and chicken and bacon.  Andreas' breakfast, outside of the milkshake, was more traditional.  His little waffles were beautiful and evidently tasted good, too.
