First Ever Fingerless Glove

I had seen a very pretty fingerless glove on pinterest a couple of months back, and knew that if I changed the colors, it'd be perfect for Kathryn.  So I made it, changing to black with blues and purples.  I think it came out pretty well, and she seemed to like it when she got it.  Now I need to make a matching one!  It actually was fairly easy.

Inside Cricova Cellars

Cricova's cellars are parts of a (still working) limestone quarry.  They're spotless and beautifully finished.  The casks are all lined up against the walls and labeled.  Lots of lights, so it's not dark, and all the walls painted white.

Outside Cricova

Did I mention that we do a lot of tours?  This one is of Cricova, one of two state owned wineries in Moldova.  The other is Milestii Mici, which I've shown pictures of before.  Cricova is pretty impressive, and this is the outside entrance to the cellars.

Stretching Across

The second corner is coming closer.  This is going to be another one of those projects that Andreas will grow to hate photographing as it gets larger.  Here, it's about 3/4 of the full width.

Soup, Salad, And Sandwich

Last month we ate at the Loft, having a nice lunch.  Andreas had a chicken sandwich with fries, and I had chicken salad and mushroom soup.  The soup was really creamy,  almost too much so.  It could have stood a little less blending.  The salad was nice, although I wish they'd substitute a boiled egg for the runny poached one.  I prefer the rest of my salad not to be covered in egg yolk.

Finished Flowers

Yay, the flowers are all done!  Now I can turn them into a cushion!  I like the way it turned out.  It's a Danish wildflower sampler that I bought several years ago in France.

The Spread

This is the table where we had our wine tasting and lunch.  They like to serve a bunch of cold dishes, including (yuck!) caviar on toast.  The rest was good, though.  The last picture is what we bought.... all of that, by the way, was under $100 together.
