Filling In The Curves

Lots of curve filling going on as I get toward the halfway point.

Second Building Building

This piece went on hiatus when I went on holiday.  It's just too big to be a good travel project.  I got back and started working on it, though!

Yarrrrn

We were looking for a stitch shop and found a Phildar store with a sale going on instead.  This was in Rouen, and I'd already spent several days with over an hour long trips in the car with nothing to occupy my hands.  Afghan's started and well on its way....

A Bit More

There's a bit more than the start now, but it still doesn't look like a heart to me.  Maybe the backstitching will help.  In the meantime, into the projects on hold cubby until later.  Holiday's over!

Key Fob

Somehow, my key chain has become a place to collect key fobs.  This is the latest addition - a dalek!  It's also a flashlight.  Cool huh?  Andreas refuses to carry my keys, though.  The whole assembly weighs about two pounds now.  Oh, and we found it at Bazaar du Bizarre in Rouen.

Thank You Greta

I received a package upon my return from France.  It was from Greta and in exchange for the firecracker Independence Day ornament I sent her.  The ornament is about an inch across.  The threads are beautiful.  Thank you kindly, Greta.

Pretty Jewelry!

On the day we went to the miniature railroad museum, we wandered through the village too.  There wasn't much outside of a river resort and a handmade jewelry shop.  The owner/maker sold us these pieces that we picked out.  They're all silver, and the beads are amber.  I truly like it!  It's become some of my favorite jewelry, and I wear it often.
