Blue Spirals

I am not at all sure about the blue spirals.  For once, I followed the instructions.  They called for doubled wool for the french knots.  They're so bulky!  I'll leave them in for now, but may decide to redo them later.

Nailed

I now have  a manicure place to go to every time I am in the DC area.  It's Ivy Nails, and it's in Clarendon.  The polish lasted a full week before chipping - and it wasn't gel.  Yay!

Any Time's Antelope Time

Many many antelope in Etosha.  The brown ones with the white stripes are kudu.  The straight horned ones are oryx.  Sometimes they seem to be playing; others, they give you a "get off my lawn" look.

A Bit Of Branch

The bird's done and it's time to branch out.

Not So Texas Barbecue

After helping with consumables shopping, I was taken to dinner at Texas Jack's.  A friend had told me it was like being in Texas.  Decor, maybe.  Food? No way!  No Texas barbecue joint would put radishes on its nachos.  There was so much foo foo greenery that it could never be mistaken for Texas barbecue.  It didn't taste bad, but it wasn't Texan.

Hanging Out At The Water Hole

It's morning and animals are thirsty, even tawny hawks.
