Being on my own, I wandered a bit around Budapest while Andreas was tied up in meetings. Went to Margaret Island and explored. I got to know the public transport system in Budapest pretty well, too!
At our last stop, on the edge of the Jewish quarter, we had crepes and coffee. We also received paprika paste so we could make our own gulash. I was happy about that, because I bought about six more tubes to take home...
The classic Hungarian flatbread dish is called langos. The dough is fried and then cold cheese and sour cream (and whatever other toppings) are piled onto it, then folded so they melt-ish. Tasted pretty good, but was HUGE. We got this from a street vendor behind the cathedral.
