Our hotel included breakfast with the room. They served it in a very nice little restaurant with a beautiful patio that would be great in the summer. Lots of fruit, coffee, tea, some rolls, eggs and yogurt. Great way to start the day.

Freedom
I made a lot of progress on this piece last week. I worked on it while waiting for Andreas to get his licence at the DPS. It was a long wait (about two hours) to be called, but once he got to the counter, it was quick.
Doesn't Look Argentine...
Andreas couldn't wait until we got to the US to have American food, so we at at the Tucson Steakhouse by the Recoleta on our second day in Buenos Aires. I had a caprioska, of course, and all the rest except the chicken salad was Andreas'. It was very good, but the portions were huge!

Stitch and Zip
I bought some ebook reader covers that stitch up with needlepoint. This one is my first to do. It's got six stranded cotton floss and the cover is already assembled. I put the floss inside for ease of storage. The edges have been a bit of a pain to do, as there are bits of canvas folded over and the zipper edges to work around. On top of that, it's not -perfectly- square, so I have to compensate with that, too. It's started, though, in the top left corner. One of those small projects I fit in my suitcase.

Thermos
As every Uruguayo knows, you need a thermos to keep your water hot for your mate. Andreas and I finally agreed on one after he nixed about ten with cow fur on them that I liked. It's steel core and is wrapped in leather.

Italian Dinner in Buenos Aires
The hotel recommended this Italian restaurant just a few blocks away, so we went. This first picture is their version of the tabla. The proscuittio was better than usual, and the cheeses were good too. The second pic is my passionfruit caprioska, and it had real bits of passionfruit in it. Tasted excellent. Lastly, our main courses. Andreas ate his before taking a picture.
