The strap is up to sixteen and a half inches in these pictures. It's getting there bit by bit. I'm on the last row of beading on the purse itself. I have a decision then - to start putting the purse together or do the other bit of beading on the rose. Haven't decided which yet. What do you think?

I don't have any words of wisdom for you, but this is an amazing project! I've enjoyed following your progress with it.
Thanks! I think I'm going to go ahead with purse construction. It'll all be handwork anyway and there's even beading on the edge of the purse. The rose is added via safety pin, so if I finish the purse first I can use it.
