I finally decided to do two motifs. Both have been done in my time in Kosovo and Bulgaria. I also did the silver bead seam between them. This is the overall block after my work.

Ready to Mail
This is Melisa's block from one of my crazy quilt round robins before I did anything. It was hard for me to figure out what to do, since this block and its embellishment so far is just not my style.

The motifs are beautiful. You should be proud of them. I love the paisley. You are right about the tree, it looks like sunrise. Keep stitching, never doubt yourself.
Meg....the tree is fantastic!
I think your motifs are beautiful. I would think that they'd be so hard to give away after all your fantastic work.
Hi Meg,
Very pretty!
Even though it might not be your style, your two motif's turned out very well and look well with the other stitching on the block. :-)

love the tree, OK to copy? It won't look exactly like yours, because I always make changes. By the way, how do you make the stem stitch roses? They look rather interesting.
Amber
Amber, I think they are both stunning. I love, love, love that tree!!
Thank you all! Yes, Amber, you can copy the tree. The stem stitch roses are really easy. I used some 10 mm silk ribbon and started with a French knot in the middle, then just did stem stitches in a circle until it was big enough. Simple!
Hey MEg just found your blog. I so love the work you did on my block. thanks again
Melisa
