I haven't tried a Luca-S kit yet; but this one is gorgeous.
I used to live in the town they're made in. They use Anchor floss and Zweigart fabric and have each color separated onto wind up bobbin things. I usually switch out the fabric because I prefer linen, but their charts are easy to read and I never run out of floss. They even have a floss guarantee and will send you more if you do! I've done several. The bigger peacock piece that I am working on is also from Luca-S - with fabric change.
