De-tailed

Yay, the salamander's done and the background around it is stitched.  Big milestone.

Big Red Splotches

Still not done with the background around the tail, but at least I hav a bunch of light red splotches under it now.  Faster stitching later, right?

In the Red

It seems I'm in a very, very red phase on this at the moment.

Slog, Slog Slither...

I know I'm making progress on this, but it feels like I'm figuratively slogging through mud as I work on it.  On the other hand, every stitch placed is one more stitch less to do!

Branching Down

Looks like it was time to edge downwards again - and get some more red done in the meantime.

Another Round of Red

A few more rows of background done.  I feel like I'm making progress only because I see the end of the lizard to work toward.

The Serpent's Tail

I have approximately 100 more rows to go, and have stitched about 150.  Progress!  The chameleon's or dragon's (depending on who's seeing what) tail is done, which means there's a Chinese character and the framing out of the piece to go.

Almost Tailed

I am getting to the point of being almost done with the salamander/dragon!

Ended up doing something I haven't done in a while with this piece - I extended the edging down.  Then I added more red.  

Three More Rows

Slowly it goes; I'm three more rows down and officially past the halfway point.  Working on the salamander/dragon's tail now.

Switch to Red

This week was another switch to red.  I got a couple more lines done!

A Bit More Black

It seems I catch up the red, then stitch more black, then catch up the red again.  Next time it looks like I'll be catching up on red.

Black This Time

I worked on the black part this time.  Each session, it's three or four more rows done.  I'm about halfway now!

A Few Lines Here...

and a few lines there and soon you have real progress.  I'm fairly far down the second page now, and the salamander (dragon) is getting down to the lower part.  Maybe it'll get done some day.

One More Twist

One more twist done on the  critter, and a few more rows down the pattern.

More Courageous

Got about for more rows done this last time I worked on it.  Well into the second page now and chugging along.

Yet More Red

Well, I'm done with the first page.  That means I have a page and a half to go.  It's definitely progress!  I've got more red done, and hope to maybe get some black in next time.

Linear Progress

That long line slinking down tle left side is almost to the bottom of the second page.  Now to finish the last three rows on the first page.

Getting very close to finishing the first of two and a half pages.  I still say it's a salamander and not a dragon...

I Still Say It's a Salamander...

Andreas still calls it a dragon.  Anyway, I'm back to working on it too.  I'm within three rows of being done with the first of two and a half pages.  W00t!
