No Longer a Mystery

It's all done! I finished this New Year's Day. It will become a pillow in a week or two, I think. The pictures don't show the glittery bits of the fabric. I think it came out pretty well, though if I knew the design beforehand, I probably would have picked something else.

So Close!

I'm almost done with this, and will probably finish it this week. Since this picture, I've finished the squares I had and received the final four. Oh, and we're starting a new project today in the group! It's a quaker sampler called "See the Star", really pretty. Look for it soon here.

Slowly I Progress...

As you know, I fell behind on this while I was out in October and early November. I've been slowly closing the gap, and in this picture I'm on part seventeen of twenty. In the past week since this picture was taken, I've completed parts seventeen and eighteen and am working on part nineteen. It'll be done early in the new year.

One Corner Complete

Yay, you can see the four leaf corner now! I'm getting caught up on when I fell behind, and I corrected the right side error completely now.

Easy as ABC

I'd wondered what those odd swirls were - turns out they were the beginning of the alphabet. you can also see how the corner's shaping up on the top right. I even made progress on correcting my mistake. Hopefully I'll get caught up in another week or so.

Getting Cornered

This set is going to show me what the corners look like! Yay, one's partway done. I'm also progressing on correcting my mistake. Only two and a half more squares to go. The last part comes out on the first of January; I hope to be caught up by then.

Cleaning It Up

As seen in this picture, I'm redoing the right side border. It's coming along. I've gotten another square done and this section has a corner, so I can see how that's going to come along. It's interesting. Since I've finished two deadline pieces this week, I'll be working on catching this up more, too.

Part 15 Done

You can really see the area where the mistake was made now, so I'll be working on correcting it for sure. Not much else to say except I'm falling behind a lot this week...

It's Frogging Time Again

This week I caught a big mistake while working on part 14. I'm going to have to frog four squares on the right border and redo them. They're off by two stitches. It's the only real thing that's given me problems with this mystery thing - getting off by a stitch or two because I don't have any context in the chart to put it in its place. At last it's not an even bigger mistake.

Part 13 Done

This is the longest I have ever kept up with a stitchalong. With thirteen of twenty parts done, I may even keep with it the whole way. I still like my color choices and think it'll turn out well when done. Got part fourteen this week and have started stitching it.

A Bit More

I'm halfway done with part 13 in this picture, which was taken a week ago. Since then, I've finished it, so I'm back on track with the group. Part 14 comes out on Wednesday. I'm still really curious about the corners, but I think they're delayed for a reason.

Part 12 Done

Speaking of my German stitching group, here's Totales Mysterie with part twelve done. Well over the halfway point now - only eight more parts to go! Now to see if I can finish part 13 before the end of the month.

Left Behind

I didn't get any work on this done at seminar, resulting in me not getting part 13 sent to me on time. I did get some stitched, though, and it's going to be done soon. Lots of border work on this set of four squares.

Part 11 Done

I finished the last of the four squares for this part about a week ago, well enough early to get part twelve today, on time. I haven't started stitching it yet because I'm at Seminar. I'm taking a temari class and have my first ball all done. The marking has always been the sticking point for me on this, and now I know how to do it. Relatives, expect them for Christmas presents. While I was in class this morning, there were still a lot of streets closed downtown and getting in the way of my husband doing the tourist thing. Lots of people on bikes in a race of some kind, he said. Still disappointed in Louisville.

The Blob Revealed

Finally that bit in the middle that looked like a crab to me is beginning to look like something more in keeping with the sampler. A leaf! I see a leaf! The four parts for this section are all in the bottom half of the sampler for some reason. I should get it done in plenty of time.

Halfway There

I finished up my tenth installment last week and am now officially halfway done with this leafy sampler. Some of the motifs are completely done; some are partial; and I'm sure there are some surprises left. For example, I have no clue what's going to be going on in the corners. Maybe the next installment will have one.

Almost Half Way

The four squares for the halfway point come out next week and I've finished part nine on time. Go me! I can keep a schedule on stitching something, at least. Anyway, it's coming together nicely, don't you think? It's only available through the Marquoir group on Yahoo.de.

Foursquare Patterns

I got the ninth of twenty parts on the fifteenth and managed to do most of its four squares. The piece is coming together pretty well, don't you think? Now to finish up the last square before the end of the month.

Eight of Twenty Done

I finished up the eight set of four squares yesterday. The pattern's definitely emerging, but I have no clue what that claw-looking piece in the middle's going to be. Round nine doesn't come out until the fifteenth, so I'm actually all caught up early for once.

Done In Time

I'm back on track with this, and done four days ahead of schedule! Go me! Now if only I could keep up with my other projects as well. You can see it's getting rather leafy. On to part eight on Tuesday.
