Picked Up in Sweden

I was so happy the Viking Museum had a few craft books that I bought one. Another something to add to my list of things to do.

 

Ladder Necklace

Another For The Makers project done. I kind of like the laddered beads.
 

Little Earrings

These were a bit harder to do since no instructions. So I made something of them. I hope they stay put.

 

DIY Coasters

Four leather coasters that I painted in weird patterns. To give away.

 

Body Scrub

This five minute mixing project was in one of the For The Makers boxes.

 

DIY Soap

Some of the soap has a bunch more charcoal in it than the rest. Haven't used it yet, but it's made. It's from an old Darby Smart box.

 

Three Little Pots

I marbled the three little pots then put moss and plastic plants in them. They're now in the windows at work.

 

Tassel Jewelry

These were all from a kit I got a couple of years ago; I decided to get it out and make it to make room for moving. And now it's done! The bracelet and red and green earrings have already been gifted. Same with one of the key rings.

 

Painted Flowers

My sip and paint version of poppies. Not great, not bad.

A New Item Collector

I made this leather dish for putting small things in.  First time I've used rivets!

Bracelet In Brass

Another For the Makers project done!  One bracelet complete.

Tubular Necklace

Going through another forthemakers box, I made this necklace.  Not particularly pleased with it, but it's done, which means one more box out of the house.

Easy Bracelet

I am finally getting through my For the Makers boxes.  This was a very easy wood beaded bracelet.

Glass Class

I went to SiNaCa studios in Fort Worth and took a glass class.  I made two items - a pumpkin and a paperweight - and had so much fun doing it!  Here you can see the kilns they use to keep the glass hot, plus one of the instructors rolling glass. 

Acrylic Necklace

 I am keeping this necklace.  Even though it's out of cheap materials, it looks pretty and I like it.  So it's going in my jewelry box.

Drop Earrings

More jewelry from For The Makers.  This time I got to put stones into cages.  Learning new things!

Braided Bracelet

Another For The Makers project - I got to macrame this bracelet.  I think it came out pretty well.

I've been making a lot of necklaces lately.  This one's also from For The Makers, and it's ready to wear.

Working through the For The Makers, I made this pretty sweet necklace.  I also managed to get one more box out of the drawer and into the trash.
