I'm not a bird fan, but Andreas is, and they photograph well. Overall, even outside of the terrorizing toddlers, I was disappointed with the Central Park Zoo. It's definitely not worth the $12 admission, and takes less than half an hour to see all the exhibits. I remember when it was free.... and had different animals.

Hidden Animals
We weren't the only ones annoyed by the screeching, screaming, peripatetic toddlers. Most of the animals were hiding, too. The penguins were behind soundproof plexiglas, so they just were ignorant of the kidlets.

New Life Rule
This first picture is of the Battery Park fountain, which I just think looks neat and has nothing to do with the rest of the post.
Now, on to the life rule: Never go to the zoo on Mother's Day. We did this at the Central Park Zoo, and it was a madhouse. A multitude of toddlers were screaming, throwing tantrums, and generally being annoyances for everyone there (who were mostly parents of said toddlers). It was NOT pleasant. We did, at least, get a decent view of the seal show.

World Trade Center
I've visited the World Trade Center periodically for most of my life. Since I tend to take the PATH into NYC, and it comes up under it, there's always a chance to look around. Andreas snapped a few pictures as we made our way to the subway stop. it's grown a -lot- since the last time we saw it.
