At The Water Hole

Andreas got a bunch of very good photos at one of the watering holes.  They all look so peaceful.

Savannah Friends

When we went together, Andreas and I didn't see a snake.  This time he did, along with other animals.

Pretty Bird

This bird was waiting for Andreas to take a photo in Etosha.  Not at all sure what kind it is.

Prey And Predator

Andreas went to Namibia with our Marine son in June.  Here are some of the photos.  The lion ones below are excellent.

Namibia Hides

Andreas bought these antelope hides at the airport as he and Phat were leaving the airport.  He expects me to make something with them.  Maybe next post, where it's unlikely that I will work.

Earrings

At the beginning of June, Andreas and our Marine son Phat went on safari in Namibia.  Andreas brought these beautiful earrings back, along with some huge porcupine quills for me to figure out something to do with.

Last Ones, Really

I thought I had posted my last earring purchase from Namibia, but I'd forgotten about these.  Yes, I am still on a kick about feathers.  And yes, these have been worn.  They look good with several pink blouses I own.

Last Pair

This is the last pair of earrings I bought in Namibia.  They're very versatile and I have worn them several times already.

Andreas' New Hat

Most places we go, Andreas gets a new hat for one reason or another.  This is his new Etosha one.  It allowed him to get sunshielded and to take photos at the same time.  He likes the snaps on the side brims.

More earrings from Namibia - these are all wood green flowers.

Plain Old Traffic Jam

The plains are awesome, as are the water holes.  But sometimes you have to endure a traffic jam to see them.

The Zebras Sweeping Down The Plain

It actually wasn't very windy on this plain, but it sure was dry and animal-full.  These landscapes (especially the third photo, which reminds me of the Scottish seaside) give an idea of the wide expanses of the park.

Night Visitors

These are all photos taken between the main lodge and our bungalow in the early evening.  You could pretty much go on safari around the pool.

Plainly Elephants

These elephants were on the edge of the Etosha salt pan.  The plain seemed  to go on forever.
