I had the idea, while I was mulling over my selections for this year's challenge, that I wanted to do more blackwork. I also wanted to do some stash busting. And I wanted to be somewhat frugal. Enter this Tam's Creations freebie. It hit all the buttons above, except for fabric. I didn't have my fabric stash with me, so I had to buy the linen. Buying stitching linen in Fort Worth is hard! The needlepoint places don't carry any. I had bought the filament silk on a whim a week previous, and this allowed me to use it, too.

Odds & Ended
Have you ever started a project and then run out of thread? And then found out that the color's not even made anymore? That's what happened to me with this project. So what I've stitched is going to be turned into a pinkeep and I'll move on to the next thing.

A Bit Odd
Well, I started this last year with Sticklounge, then got busy finishing up a couple of other projects. This one languished. It's done in a floss that is no longer available, so I will work on it a bit more, squaring it up, and then declare it done.

Collided
I've been feeling rather like I'm behind on everything, so finishing this gave me a small boost. I finally got the metallic thread I was waiting for and it took me less than an hour total. All done! Thank you Tam for a cute design.

So Very Close
I only have a little bit of stitching to do in the non-metallic, then I have to wait for my order to come in to complete it altogether. I ran out of the metallic gold!

A Bit of Collision
I am still working through When Stars Collide by Tam. It's coming along; this is part three done. The problem is I have to hurry because others have it already completed! There are twelve parts to finish by the end of January.

Started a Second Part
Here's the beginning of the second part of When Stars Collide by Tam of Tam's Creations. My colors are a rather odd choice, but I wanted to use this peach fabric.

First Part Done
Here's a picture of the first part of the Sticklounge logo, Odds and Ends by Tam, all done. It's not as colorful as some other people's, but it's cheerful in its own way.

Less Frogging
I've either gotten more careful with my chart reading for this or have gotten the rhythm of the motifs finally. Either way, I did a lot less frogging on it this week. I'm almost done with the first part.

About to Frog
Because this piece isn't really figural or symmetric, I'm finding I keep messing up by one stitch. This time, it was the upper line. It's one too long, so the small square and the diamond beginning below it get to be ripped out.... I -will- get better at reading charts! Count twice, stitch once.
