There is a major ornament factory in Josefzow, right outside Warsaw. We went; it's a couple of small buildings. These first are sample ornaments. They let us paint our own ornaments, and we even were able to buy in the gift shop.

Various Ornaments
I haven't been able to do any finishing so far this year. I'm just been busy and stressed. But these three were finished at the end of last year and show three different techniques.

A Quick Stitch
I only started this toward the end of December, but I'm already mostly done. It's only got the outer outline to go. I just have to decide if I want it in variegated blue or in purple.

Pink Squares
This is coming along, if a bit slowly. I could not work on it on the plane - a product of the seat change Continental pulled on me when I checked in. I loathe middle seats on planes. Anyway, all you see here was done before I got on the plane anyway. All the pink squares are done and I'm beginning to fill them in.

Ornament Complete
I'm really happy this came out so well! It looks wonderful in this thread (Bush Christmas from Dinky Dyes). It even counts as a project finish for my challenge! See, I told you I'd get it one before Christmas! If you want to do it, it's at Solo Brode.

Over Halfway There
Here Solo de Noel is halfway done. As I write, I'm putting the finishing stitches on it. Yay! Another ornament before Christmas! It'll be my very last and I'm pushing over to my normal rotation again now. I really like the colors I chose; the fabric and the thread give a kind of old look to it.

Snowflakes Galore
I really like how this is turning out, even if I've had to do more frogging than I'd like to. The colors are coming out even better than I'd hoped. And yes, I -will- get it done before Christmas.

A Line Done
I got one of the bands done this week and started the bottom stars. Now to actually get more done. I'm feeling soooo behind still after the nearly month-long break. I think I'm finally making a dent in the items with deadlines, though, which is a good thing.

A New Ornament
I found this freebie ornament on Solo Brode a couple of weeks ago and decided to make it. I'm using Bush Christmas from Dinky Dyes and a leftover piece of linen. I think it's coming out cute so far.

Over the Halfway Point
One project I managed to work some on in the past couple of weeks is this little ornament. I still love the colors on it. They look brighter in person than in this picture. I think I'm just going to finish it before stitching on something else, and ease myself back into stitching.

Bottom's Done
This time the stitching's going much faster on the heart. I've got the whole bottom done and am beginning to put in the lettering. I really like the colors on this and it looks rather modern-Christmas without being garish to me.

Car Stitching
Last week when my husband was driving, I managed to do -some- stitching in the car. On top of working on an afghan, I did more of the four way continental stitches on Poirot. Never truly easy because of the rayon, I did have to stop stitching on some bumpy areas of the road. At least I got something progressed on the way to Seminar.

Four Sided Continental
I'm working with slippery rayon again; this time it's with four sided continental stitch. It's going really slowly and doesn't look like I'm even making much of an impression because it's only one strand. Anyway, it's taking a looot longer than the string art it's falling down from. Of course, not much on anything's going to be done this week. I leave for Louisville and the EGA seminar early in the morning. I'll be blogging from there and show some new things, but my old stuff will languish some.

Needlepoint Ornament
I decided to go ahead and start my June ornament. It's Poirot by Jim Wurth, part of is dodecagon series. The first step is an outline completely in smyrna cross. I'm almost halfway done with that part. It's not that big, so I shouldn't take too long to complete it, right?
