Our New Home - The Bad View

As I write this, the view looks even worse due to a major downpour.  The roofs below are several shantytowns around downtown.  You can see the construction site, too, and the serpentine - a road that winds back on itself a couple of times despite the very small grade.

First Picture

City Walk is an ANG correspondence course design by Linda Reinmiller.  I'm taking it with my chapter, San Bernadino.  I finally got all the materials together a week and a half ago and started it last week.  The first part is a lot of counting and gridwork, so that's what you see here.

Needlepoint Progress

There's been progress on both of these. I've gotten all the colored stitching done in the upper left hand corner of the auction piece and, since this picture was taken yesterday morning, got most of the long arm cross stitch border of it done. the black lines delineating the edges of the signs will be couched, so after I get the border done, I'll be filling in that square. I've also gotten the second, red border done on the flower piece and started the third border. Maybe soon I'll actually be able to work on the focal point. At least it's coming along.
