Andreas found this silver dollar on the ground in Pigeon Forge as we were going in to a quilting store.

Pretty Big Bench

Nice and simple design that would be good for crewel on a large bench at the Knoxville zoo.

 

Awake Red Pandas

They are even cuter when they're awake. They have great personalities.

Food After the Zoo

We all shared a giant pizza after the zoo. It was so big the pepperoni in the photos were normal sized.

 

The Reason to Go to the Zoo

These red pandas were snoozing, but active red pandas are a delight. They are so cute to watch.

 

Little Magnetic

A magnet of the buildings at Oak Ridge where they originally purified uranium for the bomb during WWII.

 

Otter Hang Out

The otter exhibit at the Knoxville Zoo. They were active and chill at the same time.

 

Little Pagoda Tower

This little pagoda sits near the inside of the entrance to the Knoxville zoo. It's even got a pretty door.

Blending in and being visible. Also enjoying his nap. This was at the Knoxville Zoo this summer.

 

Stock and Barrel, Knoxville

On home leave we spent a week in Knoxville with Andreas' parents. We ate at several places. The first was Stock and Barrel on Market Square. It was very good. Huge portions. I split a burger because too big. And we had to have fried pickles, of course.

The log cutting used big saws, but the log rolling was more interesting to watch!
