Owls!

123Stitch had a sale on owl stuff, so.... some of these are going to get started during Stitch Maynia.

Rocking Along

Part of the rock is one now.  Moving right along with this.

Travel Light

Andreas, with reason, thinks the lighting in temporary housing such as hotels and rental apartments, isn't very good.  To help counteract that, we brought this battery operated light with us to Frankfurt.  I've used it a few times, and have three more weeks to go to use it more.

Sitting Proud

I have now completed every stitch of the top half of the dragon.  Next time, I will start back stitching everything.  The directions for the back stitching aren't very good, so I will have to wing it some.  I am so pleased with how this looks, though!

Dense Petals

Lots of petals are overlapping in this section, so there are many color changes plus green leaf peeking through.

Finally Showing The Kit

I've already shown the actual embroidery on this a few times, but hadn't gotten around to showing the kit itself.  I like the little cloth bag; it can even be stitched otherwise.

Gifted

I gave a couple of large bags of yarn and other things to the deputy chief of mission's maid and she was so happy for it she made me these knitted slippers and a bead necklace.  They're lovely!

Belly Full

The peacock now has a full middle.  Things are moving along.

Time To Start

Time to start the Petite Arabesque, since I now have the kit from Laura Perin.  It's on the stitch maynia list.  While I was ordering, I got the four ornaments pattern, too.

Five Flowers Done

I have five flowers all back stitched and done but for beading on two.  The honeysuckle has its cross stitching done, too.

Starting For Me In May..

I signed up for Long Dog's Sneek from SewandSo. Time to get started on it in May.  It will be part of my Stitch Maynia starts.

Two Sepals

Two sepals done and I am liking the look of this.

Paisley Fabric

I now have a light, paisley linen to make something on.  Maybe I'll do a paisley design.

Branches Be Here

The peahen looks almost done.  I still have a lot to do, though.  There are about twenty more rows to go on the top half of the design.  Brown is still the dominant color, but at least I am getting past the branches.

Gift From Japan

Andreas' parents saw this at a craft store while they were out and bought it for me.  It's a kogin embroidery kit, and I will start it during my Stitch Maynia week after next.  I hope I can do it justice! Thank you Besty and Mike.

Little Flowers Grow

I am making the little flowers begin to pop.  This is a fun little project to work on.

March Ipsy

Not at all sure about the bag from March.  The markers are to color it. I've been using the sponge the last few days, and it seems to do what a sponge does.

Fragged

I am getting pretty far on the logo for this.  While both my husband and his coworker love this show, I have never seen an episode.

Concert Invitation

The Air Force's Europe Jazz Band came to play in Pristina in February for the tenth anniversary of Kosovo's independence. This was the invitation card, with the shape of Kosovo done in words that connected the US and Kosovo together, though they spelled raspberries wrong.  I think it looks neat.

Almost Half

The second motif is almost done, and I am thinking next time I might be halfway done.

March Glossybox

This month has more things for me to use, but i wish the nail color was different.  Not at all sure how the nail polish got through pouch...

Almost Four

Yay, almost four of the eight panels done!  Getting closer to completing this.

Do You Like Masks?

I got some nice things in the February Glossybox, but I am completely unsure about these sheet face masks.  Whenever I put one on, it doesn't seem to fit and I can't get it to stay on.  So what's the point?  They are definitely not among my favorite things.

Two Wings

These wing areas are pretty big, and I have four of them to do!  Time to get cracking.

Good Progress

I am now done with the top third of the design.  More to do while I am in Frankfurt.

Yet More Brown

Worked on more branch on the left.  At least I'm less than twenty rows from the halfway mark on the chart...

Fiberlicious March Fabric

I definitely see possibilities for this!

Space Invaders Band

April was a very small band.  Before I did the back stitching, the larger motifs looked like space invaders or centipede segments to me.  Yes, I'm a video game nerd.  Anyway, I like the way it completed and am ready for the next part.

Red Line

I have the red line at the top done and some bits on the bottom too.

Fiberlicious February

I have my February fiberlicious.  The fabric is sparkly, although it doesn't look so in the photo.  Time for me to get stitching.

New Subscription Box

I decided to join FabFitFun, and this was my first box.  I'm pleased.  There are maybe two things I won't use from it.  One of them is the sleep mask.  What is it about sleep masks that they're so popular in subscriptions and Victoria's Secret?  I've never seen the appeal.  Anyway, earrings, lots of skin and hair care, some socks, and a very nice project bag.

Looking Vibrant

I love the colors on this.  They make me happy.  Once I am at the halfway point done in a few more rows, I'll start the back stitching too.

Half A Flower

I definitely have half the pink flower done.  Slowly this is coming together.  It's the widest part right now, so I don't feel like I'm making much progress.

Becoming Regulars

While we're not as regular as the locals, we have been to this restaurant at least twice each time for the last three times we've been in Vienna.  I still love the carrot soup, and the schnitzel - I want to learn how the Viennese bread their schnitzel.  I'm in awe of it.

Back To Grounding

I now have very significant parts of the background done.  I hope to finish this relatively soon, but there's a lot of beading to do too.

Secondary Daily

Since the Linen and Threads sampler pieces come out once a month, once I'm done with them, I work on this.  I'm coming along pretty well with it.  I -think- I will have it done by the end of April, as this is almost the halfway point and I have April done on Linen and Threads.

Half A Cupola

Half the cupola on the right is stitched.  I also have some of the bricks beneath it done.  The stitches are coming along.  This will be going with me to Frankfurt, too.

Decan In Dreary Day

Decan chapel is such a simple and elegant structure.  It's the original structure from the fourteenth century.  For some reason, every time I go, though, there are clouds.  The second photo is some of the outbuildings.
