Stash from The French Knot

When I visit Fort Worth, I have to go to this place at least once. It's tradition. I bought a new kit. I've done a similar one before; this has different flowers.

 

So Close But So Boring

I am so bored with this basketweave over the whole buckle that I pick it up infrequently.

 

Flagged, Kind Of

The red stripes on the flag are done, but nothing in the white yet. Instructions say to do all the things around it now, so starting with the words.

 

Stewed

This turned out a lot more uniform than I wanted. The squares have more variegation in person.

Scotched and Stewed

All the squares filled and it looks like I have a lot more light green area than I wanted. Not going to bother to change it, though.

 

Returned

A finished piece of needlepoint. Will turn it into something soon. 

 

Four Hearts

ANG had the sunflower heart in its magazine as a project. I immediately thought of Ukraine and bought it. While browsing, I found three more I really liked and now own. Need to start the Ukraine ones soon, especially since the stitch guide is out in the ANG magazine for the sunflower one.

 

Making a Flag

Restarted this project with lines from Our Country Tis of Thee. This one is probably the quickest of the four to stitch. Series is from Gay All Rogers.

 

Filling the Squares

I've changed so much on this I feel like I am just winging it at this point. We'll see how it turns out.

 

Up to the Border

I only need to finish up the border for this to be done. Hated working with the Very Velvet. Maybe I will do this again in a different colorway.

 

TIme to Play with Squares and Color

I went so off the reservation with this pattern. Now it's a bit of color play in the squares.

 

Filling in Boxes

More boxes to go, but this is filling in nicely. I've definitely modified the threads and colors, but not the stitches.

 

Time for Stripes

Lots of little stitches here, so going to be striping for a a bit. But at least two stripes of six done for now.

 

Filling In Diagonals

Little boxes to fill. I officially hate Very Velvet. It breaks when you look at it. Nothing lasted more than four inches, not even getting it off the card.

 

All Framed Up

All the borders done so I can do the fun part now.
