Yay Petals!

I now have several pink petals.  Yay!  It's beginning to look like a flower.

The Little Things

Whenever we go, I am fascinated by the sand tubes made by the insects on the cliffs.  The plants don't seem to mind,   It creates nests of intricacy.

Bag Number Three

It's a mini carry backpack bag - good to tuck into the purse and use in emergencies.  I ended up with this one instead of a market tote because I really liked the color.

More Miradouro

I did take my little point and shoot on the day safari trip.  Mostly, I took photos of the river trip and of Miradouro.  Here are some wider shots of Miradouro.

Clockwise Swirls

More is getting done on this, and it's beginning to look pretty.  When I get home, I'll choose a color to fill in the little hearts.  Right now I have no idea which I will use.

Leafy Bag

I paid for this bag.  It's silk with metal work.  They say it's a leaf, but it looks a lot like a peacock feather to me.

Inside Victoria Station

This is  the ticket counter area at Victoria Station.  Impressive, no?  Love the arches and the stained glass.

Daily For A Bit

This is my daily project for a little bit.  Making progress on the edges, and -will- get to the middle.

Looking Wavy

My cachemire is looking pretty good, I think.  It's kind of fun to work on, too.

Green Bag

I was given this little bag when I bought some stuff from a vendor at the earth day fair at the Mumbai Consulate.

Little Bits Of Structure

I have a bit more structure done.  Slow progress, but progress nonetheless.

Adding Tulips

Yay, I'm almost ready to fill in the tubes!  Just a few more flowers to go.

Victoria Station

Victoria Station is in the heart of Mumbai, but it was designed to resemble St. Pancras station in London.  Supposedly it's the second most photographed building in India.  My photos don't show it very well.

Last Of The Animals

These are the animals we saw last at Kissama.  We were lucky to get out before dark because our truck had broken down, but the driver was able to fix it after about half an hour.  Kissama needs help with getting animals into it.  The war really did a disfavor to Angolan wildlife.

All Tangelloed Out

Yay, a second finish in Mumbai!  Now I can give it to Alice once I get back to Angola.

Dahi Puri

Did I mention how popular the food carts on the beach were?  You can see they are almost constantly busy.  The last of the vegetarian main courses we tried was dahi puri.  I liked it better because the yogurt cut the spice a lot, and that helped me!  Here's a recipe.

Oh Deer

We found deer on our safari - even baby ones.  They learned contempt from their elders.

Coming Up ... Black

Almost to the all black part.  I have a little bit of leafing to go that's not black, at least.

Sev Puri

Sev puri is a bunch of stuff dumped on chickpea crackers.  It tastes pretty good, as it's not the hottest of Indian foods.  Here's a recipe.
