All Tangelloed Out

Yay, a second finish in Mumbai!  Now I can give it to Alice once I get back to Angola.

Dahi Puri

Did I mention how popular the food carts on the beach were?  You can see they are almost constantly busy.  The last of the vegetarian main courses we tried was dahi puri.  I liked it better because the yogurt cut the spice a lot, and that helped me!  Here's a recipe.

Oh Deer

We found deer on our safari - even baby ones.  They learned contempt from their elders.

Coming Up ... Black

Almost to the all black part.  I have a little bit of leafing to go that's not black, at least.

Sev Puri

Sev puri is a bunch of stuff dumped on chickpea crackers.  It tastes pretty good, as it's not the hottest of Indian foods.  Here's a recipe.

Unzed Zebras

We found zebras at the park.  They, too, treated us with contempt.

On To The Last

Three sides done, and the fourth and the middle ready to be stitched.

Street Food Wagon

This was the street food wagon on Chowpatty Beach that we got all our food from.

WIldebeest Road Block

We turned a corner on the dirt trach and found a scattering of wildebeest across the road.  This was the single largest grouping of animals we saw at the park.  They did -not- want to move.

Pani Puri

Jhaanav, our guide, demonstrated how to eat pani puri.  It comes in two varieties - sweet or spicy - and you have to eat it all in one bite.  Recipe here.

Spines Filling

The wing spines are filling up, so the dragon's wings are too.  Soon they will be complete.

Fowl Sightings

All these fowl seen at the park.  Surprise!

Lightpoles and Sunset

On the street food tour, the first stop is the train station outside Chowpatty beach.  They have old Victorian light poles, which I find neat,  Chowpatty beach itself has views of both the city and the water.
