Monument Outside POLin

This is a monument to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and stands right outside the POLin museum.

 

Recreation of Pre-WWII

Both POLin museum and the WWII museum in Gdansk have recreations of streets from the interwar period. They show what was lost.

 

The Path Out

We left the tunnels from a different place than we entered. Still well hidden and forested area, though. Project Reise was rather huge.

Kilometers Long

The Germans actually excavated quite a bit at this particular Reise location. At least four or five kilometers of tunnels and rooms. There were at least four more sites where excavation took place. This was all within the span of a year and a half.

More of Project Reise. This was an area being built. They used these holograms to tell the story of the place. It worked well.
