My Americana Temari

It's a simple renzoku design with red, white and blue variegated pearl cotton.  I think it came out pretty well, and now it's done!

Lofty Lunch

Lunch at The Loft on a Wednesday in July.  Andreas had his usual sandwich and camembert.  I think he only goes for the camembert.  I had mushroom soup and my poached egg salad.  Andreas' parents split a salad and a soup.

Two Tails Are Better Than One

Some nice low level flight shots in this set.

Huge Dinner At Roata Vremi

I have been trying to catch up so much with the air show that I've neglected posting other things besides stitching.  These photos are of a meal we ate with my in laws at Roata Vremi while they were visiting in July.  It was all excellent, from the house aligote wine to the fresh veggies to the meats and placinte.  I love this place.

Boeing 787 And Corporate Jet

Air shows are now about the only place you can go just to watch planes take off and land.  I remember as a little kid going to the local little airport and watching them with fascination.  Now, only air shows offer that experience.

Boeing showed off one of its new 787's, and they were rolling it out while one of the corporate jets was taking off and doing its routing.  Made a lot of good photo ops!

It's Ornament Time

If you've been reading my facebook statuses, you'll know that I've been traveling a bit.  This piece was worked on because of the travel - it's small and I don't need my puter open for the chart.  I've also got a very early Christmas deadline, as we'll be traveling again during that time.  So... it's about time for me to switch over to Christmas projects.  I normally don't do that until November, but I'll be doing it early this year.

Turquoise Filigree

These wouldn't exactly be my first choice of colors to combine, but they're growing on me.  It's one of the newer Mill Hill kits, and I'm 2/3 done with the backstitching.  So far, it's quick.  Might slow down when I start the beading.

Aerobatics, Anyone?

Still cloudy but no rain that Friday.  Two more planes doing aerobatic tricks.  The second is definitely Euro military.  I want to say it's a Typhoon?
