Not Miscounted

It turns out that the lopsided look of this is solely due to the lopsided fabric at the moment.  It'll get fixed once I block it.  That means I can get more done.

Traditional Albanian Food

We allowed the waiters at Liburnia here in Pristina order for us.  Liburnia is a traditional Albanian restaurant with a very nice atmosphere.  We had grilled mushrooms, pogache, peppers in cream, salad, meat, and a bunch of other stuff.  Despite, between three of us, eating less than half, we were stuffed.

Filling In Green

Lots of grass green to continue filling in.  I am very close to the turnover point for this project, though!

McDonald's Austria

They allow dogs in the store!  While we were there, a couple came in with their owners for snacks.  They were well behaved and didn't cause a fuss.  We ate a quick lunch while we were between Christmas markets.  Andreas had a chicken sandwich and I had quarter pounder.  The buns taste better and the food looks much nicer than in American McDonald's.

Petal Finishes

I finished a couple more petals.  These rows go slowly because the piece is so wide here.

Centimeter Breakfast

Our Christmas market trip in December was a quick one to Vienna.  Andreas insisted on eating at one of his favorite places, Centimeter.  As you can see, breakfast was huge.  Tasted pretty good, too.

Bottom's Done

I got the bottom part all stitched up now, since I had extra green floss in my needle after doing the scroll.

Snowflake Nails

Sevdije made my nails all Christmasy for December!

Picking Up Poinsettias

I finished this month's band of the Linen and Threads sampler, so this is again my daily project.  The poinsettias are almost done.

Mattie In Snow

Mattie loves snow.  She adores snow.  It is very hard to get her back inside when there's snow on the ground.  Unfortunately for her, there hasn't been all that much snow this winter here.  We're supposed to get some more tomorrow, though!

Making A Chimney

I'm working on the right side now.  All of the bricks on top are done, finally, too.

Petals Done

The petals are done on the big flower!  I get to go to another area.

Packing By Amazon

We see a lot of packed boxes, as we live overseas.  Some are well packed, and some just make you cry.  This is one of the latter.  Why pack heavy things that jostle around in the same compartment as chips?

Bits Of Purple

Little bits of purple on the tail this time plus some more of the tree on the left.  This is going so slowly!

Bosnian Dinner

This restaurant is in the neighborhood of both Kerry's and the Larson's residence.  It has beautiful food that tastes as good as it looks.  The top photo is a caprese salad, and below that is a tuna salad.  My beef medallions were delicious and a huge portion.  Andreas had the leg of lamb, which he loved.

Two And A Half

I'm a bit more than two thirds of the way done with this band.  I'll definitely finish it before the end of the month.

View From Police Station

This top photo was actually inside the station.  If you look closely, you'll see "Besarabia e Romania."  That means Moldova is Romania.  A lot of people on both sides want to meld Moldova and Romania together.  Needless to say, the Russia supporters don't want that.  The lower photos show why there was an artillery battery here during the siege of Sarajevo.  The station is completely trashed now, but the city is back to growing.

Two Of Three

Two of three panels done!  Time to start on the third.

Lunch At The Brewery

Sarajevo Brewery has a restaurant.  It's decorated like something from the 1880's, which is when the structure was built.  We had lunch with the Larsons there while going around town.  All of it was delicious, and we even got free samples of beer.

Still Feathering

Working on the feathers still, getting more and more done.

Turkish Coffee

While out with Theresa and Kent, we stopped in a Turkish coffee shop.  Andreas had hot chocolate.  I had tea.  And it was served differently!  It was good, but there was a lot of smoke about.

Lines All Over

Lots of straight lines in this.  I'm working on the border under the scotch stitch and the lattice under it.  Getting done quickly.

Roadside Restaurant in Montenegro

While driving to Sarajevo, we stopped at a roadside restaurant in Nish, Montenegro.  It was good, even if the service was iffy.  Eventually the owner waited on us because his waiter ignored us.  I had chicken soup and schnitzel.  Andreas had greek salad and grilled chicken.  We would go back to this place!

To The Right

I worked on the right hand side this time.  In those blank spaces are huge numbers of algerian eye stitches.  I am pondering making a start on them.

Petaling Along

Down to the next to darkest color now.
