Two In A Week

My Needle Arts finally came about three weeks ago, so I was able to finish my band sampler.  I think it came out pretty well.  It's less than ten inches long.  Now I need to see who else finished it.

Back To The Colonial

Although I received my Needle Arts just before Christmas, I was unable to work on my Colonial Band Sampler until this past week.  As you can see, I got a flower done.  There's not all that much left to do, and I will have it done by the next CyberStitchers meeting.

Part Three Done

I m done with the alphabet, which means I'm done with part three of  the Colonial Band Sampler.  Yay!  Now I wait for the fourth and final part of the sampler to get to me in my very slow snail mail.  I've changed a lot of colors, added a band, and am plowing away on it.

Alpha-Beting

The alphabet is the last bit of part three, and I'm almost done with it.  I think this is coming along pretty well.

Done For Now

So far, my band sampler is much more colorful than the original.  Andreas likes it better than the original photo, so that's good.  The first two parts are done.  I'm now waiting for the third part to show up in the mail.  This sampler has also reinforced my hatred of queen stitches.

Banding Together

I am almost done with the second part!  I prefer working these actual bands rather than the other parts at the top.  They just appeal to me more.

Right At Halfway

This is coming along and is pretty, but it's huge for a Christmas ornament.  Now I'm on the narrowing down part.

Some Sparklies

Got some sparkle going on this. It's somewhat harder to work on than usual because of the black fabric, but I'm getting it done.

Third Ornament Start

This is my third ornament start for the Winter in July Challenge.  The pattern is called Dickens' Christmas, and is by Keslyn's.  It's huge for an ornament - approximately 125x125.  I've changed the colors - the floss I'm using is Boggy Marsh by Hand Dyed Fibers.  I didn't get it done by the end of July, though.

Second Challenge Ornament Done

A second ornament of three done on the Winter in July challenge.  Yay!  This one was fairly quick to stitch.  I won't get the third done - it's only about halfway, but it's very big for an ornament.

Second Ornament Started

I started my second ornament of the Winter In July challenge.  This one is from the 2002 JCS ornament issue and is by Catherine Strickler of Indigo Rose and is called Peace On Earth.  I'm using Bijoux for the sparkle and Needle Necessities variegated.  I like how it's coming out so far.
