The seahorse is done! I liked the wool this used - Strand, from New Zealand. No real pilling and it seemed to knot less than some. It also felt smoother than other needlepoint wool, almost the loft of crewel wool. This wasn't anything important to me. It was something to do at the doctor's office and in the car waiting for the kids. I think it'll look cute when my husband decides what he wants done with it.

Swim on By
Last week, I said I'd get this done this week. It was finished this morning. This picture is of the progress as of last Friday evening. Picture of the completed stitching will come over the weekend.

Seahorsing Around
Lots of progress on the seahorse itself this week. Next week, I think, will be the week I finish it off. It's getting close.

Such a Stomach
This poor seahorse is fat! He looks cute, but he's got a bit of a belly. At least that belly's almost done instead of being see-through like it was. The basketweave's easy to do and coming along well. Probably in the next week or two I'll just take a day and finish this off.

Over Halfway Done
This is going well and is an easy stitch, since it's all basketweave. I'm now well over halfway done! I think it's looking cute.

Swimming Along
Added blue and more orange to the picture. I'm just over halfway done, and I think the seahorse looks cute. I don't know what I'll do with it. I owe two more stitched pieces to a friend to make purses for her daughters. This might be good for that.

Seahorse Returns
I've decided that I always need a small item in my rotation, and this was shunted aside last year after I got home from France. It's back in the loop now as my small project. Stitching on it's easy and it's working up quickly. Maybe I'll get it done in a month or so.

Swimming in the Sea
I don't normally do anything besides crochet in the car - it makes me carsick. That aside, I tried working on this project. Instead of doing the finicky bits in the seahorse himself, I did the sea ... and managed to do a significant portion of it! Who knows? I might even finish it this year.

Slight Progress
I managed to stitch some on this at Seminar. It's going slow because it's not really in my rotation, but I'll get it done. I like it.

Swimming Along
This piece is hard because it's interstitial - it only gets worked on when I'm away waiting for someone or I'm completely stuck from something else. Anyway, I managed to get some work on it last week, starting the seahorse as I waited for various doctors' appointments for my kids. I'll get it done eventually. I have to say, though, this Strand wool really needs to be kept straight. It's naturally curly.

Seahorse Progress
I haven't had much time for the poor little seahorse since I got back, but he has had some work done for him. The kelp strands are longer now and there's more background done. Perhaps soon I'll even get to working on the seahorse itself.

Something's Fishy
There were supposed to be two pictures for this post, but I can only find one of them. The other's of my sealife round robin. It's getting done - a fish from a French magazine. The seahorse is coming along at my bedside. It's what I'm going to take to work on the plane, since it's pretty easy. Maybe I'll even get close to finishing it then. The Strand wool that I'm working with isn't pilling, but it does twist a lot and fray slightly.

Seahorse Swimming
This poor thing gets the least progress because it's not really in the rota, but it's coming along all the same. Maybe I'll finish it in a month or so. I'll be returning home before my husband in two weeks to do a favor for a friend and this will make a good thing to stitch on the cramped and crowded plane.

Seahorse
The seahorse got some work last week, but not this. It's easy to work on, but I've been kept downstairs doing things while my husband gets ready for bed, so this has been neglected.

Seahorse Start
The last time I visited my friend in Virginia, I picked up this cute little seahorse kit from Accomplishments in Charlottesville. It's from New Zealand and I don't have the name of the designer/kitmaker in front of me. I'll provide it later. Anyway, I started it to have something to do by the bed while my husband finishes brushing his teeth and so on before bed. It's not in my regular rotation for that reason.
