Angry Monk is a "buzzy" restaurant in Belgrade. It has sushi, frou frou cocktails, and asian fusion food. Food and cocktails were very good (yuzu cotton candy?) but it was definitely an "it" place to be and the prices showed it.

Crazy Horse Pub - Nis
On our way from Pristina to Belgrade, we stopped at the Crazy Horse Pub for lunch, a recommendation by Ranko. It was a good choice! We ate and geared up for the rest of the trip. Food was excellent and great preparation. I would have liked to explore Nis more, but we never got back there.

Monument Restaurant - Belgrade
All of us at at Monument, a restaurant chain in Belgrade. They seem to be a bit classy, and everyone found something they liked to eat. The food was good and not too pricy. And yes, the dessert was huge.

Inside Novi Sad Church
As you can see, the inside confirms it's a Catholic church. Catholicism is prevalent in the area because, for a couple of centuries, it was controlled by the Austrians.

Novi Sad Lunch
We found a restaurant row right by the main square. Ducked into a pub and had lunch. The choices made by the four of us were venison stew and sausages. The stew was very good. So was the cider.

Novi Sad Main Square
While in Belgrade with Kerrie, Lisa, and Donal, we decided to look for a Christmas market in Novi Sad, about an hour away. Donal decided to do something else instead. The four of us found the main square with a tiny market in it. It did have mugs, though. This is the square. And yes, it was a gloomy day.
The church looks western because it is. It was built during the Austro-Hungarian empire.

And It Snowed
It snowed for the weekend in Serbia. And it was deep, eventually. All day Saturday, it snowed. And we went back home on Sunday. We had to dig our cars out for the ride. Snow made Belgrade even prettier.

Belgrade at Night
These photos were all taken near Republic Square, where we were staying. Night gives a bit of oomph to the statues.
