More Flaky

A bit more done on the snowflake.  It's taken a lower priority at the moment due to having to work on the blackwork project.

Charity Start

I have started this snowflake for a charity group.  It'll be added to a bunch more and made into a quilt.  Now to get it done...

The Lady Is Complete!

It's been quite a while, but she's finally done and she's beautiful!  The best viewing distance for her is about three feet.  It feels good getting such a large project done.  I've sent an email to the charity I made it for to see if they still want it.  If they don't, my husband insists on keeping it.  Now to find another patriotic piece to stitch!

Outside of being large, this was a fairly easy stitch.  My main complaint was that the beads were too large for the area they needed to fit, and that they were unevenly sized.  Made do, though.

Half Beaded

I'm sooo close to being done!  I've just got the lower third to bead.

Stripes

Candy cane spindles on this temari.  It joins the others for the winter bazaar on Saturday!  We've packaged them like candies in clear cellophane bags with ribbons.

Lacy

I used Kreinik's 1/8 inch ribbon to mark the lines of this ball.  It's definitely chunkier than Nordic Gold.  For this design, it worked, though!  I ended up with a lacy looking temari.  This one's for the bazaar, too.

Triangles for Christmas

Another winter bazaar temari.  This one's about the same size as the renzoku one.  I think they make a nice pair.

Ribbon Candy

This particular ball is also for the charity.  It was done in a renzoku design and in kyo-temari thread.  Bright, shiny Christmas ribbon candy!

Another Bought for Charity

This one, too, was destined for the winter bazaar and didn't make it.  It went home to one of the organizers for her charitable donation, and is now sitting atop a candlestick.  I truly have fallen in love with these big kikus on big balls.  Evidently, the people here have too.

And Another...

Another in the series of eight pointed kiku temari.  The colors on this one came out very rich and Victorian.  It's also going to the winter bazaar for charity.

Backstitch and Beading

All the backstitch is done, and the beading started.  LOTS of beading to do, but should have this done by the end of the month!

Christmas Temari

The local International Women's Club is holding a bazaar in about ten days.  I've been asked to make some crafts for it.  So, I've decided to make some temari.  This is one of them - and it already sold.  One of my fellow volunteers paid full price for it while we were pricing things on Saturday.  Oh, and all proceeds from the whole bazaar go to local charities.  First priority is roofing a special needs daycare center.

Bottomed Out

I have a few more stitches to put in, but the bottom is reached!  This is the full size of  the piece.  Whew, the end's in sight.

Sooo Close

I'm now down to the bow and laurel leaves, and the bottom row is sooo close!  Then it's down to backstitching and beading.  This might even be done by the end of  the month.  Yay!

Plugging Along

I am about done with the banner and about to work on the bow and wheat ears.  It's getting there.  Once I finish with the Purple Garden, I'll be putting time in on this every day until it's done.  My goal is to finish it before the end of the year.

Making Out the Letters

I think the banner's over halfway done now.  There's a spray of wheat below it, and then it's done.  Now to get working....

It feels good to be finally done with the skirt, and working on the banner.  It's the last big part of the piece.  I'm hoping to finally finish this before the end of the year.

Skirted Up

I'm finally done with the skirt! It's a major milestone for me, and now all I'm left with are the banner and flourishes.
