Filling In The Diamond

I am well on my way on the second egg now.  The filling is coming along nicely.

Egging On To #2

I've got the outline of the second egg done.  These progress quickly when you work on  them!

One Egg Done

For an egg, this design came out very diamond-like.  I think I prefer it diamond-like and flat to being twisted around an egg, so I will make it into a diamond shaped ornament.  Starting the second one of seven now.

Bright Stars

I have the four stars all outlined and the pouffy stitches done.  It's time to add the outer filler.

Cracking An Egg

Because of my geographical location I couldn't resist joining ANG's Ukrainian Egg workshop.  There are seven eggs, and this is the beginning of the first.

Irised

It's done!  I've finished the Fleur-de-Lis from Laura Perin.  Yes, the class was supposedly last summer, but I didn't even start until the class was over.  I'm pleased with how it turned out and Andreas says this is a piece we're definitely keeping.

In The Middle

Yay!  I'm on the last spot to fill!  All the backgrounds are done, and all that's left is the center iris.

Two Plus

Picture's sideways, even though the one I uploaded isn't!  Don't know what's going on, but you can still see the progress.  Two, nearly three, of the four squares are done.  I'm almost done!

One Square Complete

All the stitching on the top right square is done.  The top left is almost done, too.  Every time I work on this I like the look of it more.

Bands Of Blue

I can't believe how full this is looking.  I'm pleased with the progress!

Looking Bluer

There's definitely more blue going around the edges.  It's working up pretty fast, and if I stuck to it, I'd have this done by now.  It's one of the few projects going with me to France today, so maybe I'll finish it there.

I'm pleased with my progress on this piece.  It's filling in quickly and looks very nice.

The Other Pattern

I've started the other pattern in the upper right.  Yay progress!

Close On One

One corner is almost done!  The colors on this just get better and better.

Quartered

I have the first quarter of the piece almost done.  I really like the look of it so far.

Almosted

One of the five squares is almost done.  It's feeling like real progress now.

Insides Begun

From now on, I will be working with mainly shades of blue.  Smaller areas to fill in, so progress should at least feel quicker.

Filled

All the little bits of the outer border are filled up.  Time to get to the fun stuff.

All Filled In

I've got the interstitial area filled in, but it's not done yet.  I need to add gold crosses.  Then, I can finally get to the fun part.

Lots of interstitial space to fill in, but I've started!  Feels good to be done with the borders.
