All Stitched Up

I finished and mailed out this biscornu at the end of January.  I like how it turned out, even with all the fussy bits.  Am thinking of making it again, but with variegated threads from Cosmo.  Have them all picked out an with the chart; just need to find a place in my rotation.

Handmades From Hungary

Well over a month after being sent, I received Maja's exchange from The Stitch Specialists.  It was well worth the wait!  I love the handstitched ornament and handkerchief, and the fibers and goodies are beautiful!  Thank you, Maja, and I'm sorry Turkish Air took so long to get it to me.

Temari From Stephen

Stephen sent me this absolutely lovely temari in exchange for the one I sent him.  It took a loooooong time to get here because the mail service to Moldova has been held up by Turkish Air.  I'm so happy it got here, though!  It's amazingly intricate.

Last Cracker

Finally, my last Christmas cracker was delivered on the one day we got mail two weeks ago.  It wasn't the sender's fault that it took so long, but Turkish Air's.  Isn't it beautifully stuffed with stuff?  I can't wait to use it!

It Got There!

It took nearly a month, but this temari finally made it from Moldova to Cyprus.  It was delayed in the holiday mail, evidently.  This was made for the New Year GITS on TalkTemari, and Linda (the recipient) says she likes it, which is the important thing.  It's an S-12 with two interlocking three point renzoku designs.

Cracker from New York

Neither of the crackers I received so far this year had any indication of who they were from!  All I know about this one is that it had a return address in upstate New York.  It was packed with stuff!  These two pictures show it all.  Thank you!

One more is on the way, but it's not the sender's fault it's not here.  Evidently Turkish Air has decided not to move mail for pretty much all of December into January... I have no idea when I'm going to get my mail.

Cracker from North Carolina

I don't know who sent me this cracker, but the return address was North Carolina.  It was full of some neat stuff!  I've already used some on a round robin quilt block.  Thank you!

Crackers On Their Way

I made three Christmas crackers for exchange.  They're filled with stitchy things, some of them bought here.  I hope their new owners like them!

Sent to Scotland

I sent this temari to Scotland for Stephen D in an exchange.  I like the look of it, even though it's that one simple design I did about four times now.  Anyway, he got it two days ago.  His to me is still in the mail.

Thank You Both!

After not getting any mail for a while, we got a whole bunch of it last week.  In the same shipment were these lovely exchange ornaments from Margaret G and Ing!  Aren't they great?  Thank you both so very much!  Now to start hanging ornaments around the house.

Exchange Temari

I am participating in the Friendly Stitchers yahoo group ornament exchange this year, and made this for my partner.  She saw temari on my blog, so I asked her if she wanted one instead of something cross stitched.  She said yes, and this is the result.  It's also my first ever renzoku pattern.  I think it came out really well.

In the Mail

This is now done and off to its future owner!  It was mailed a week ago.  For some reason, outgoing mail is only sent from here on Thursdays.  The ornament was a quick enough stitch, and I think it came out pretty well.  I hope Ing likes it when it gets to her.

Temari for Elsie

Here's the temari I made for Elsie in exchange for the one she made me.  I finished mine a lot later due to all the transitional stuff going on in my life these days.  It was hard to pick colors because she said she'd been getting a lot of green temari lately and wanted something non-green.  Needless to say, everything I picked first had green in it.  I eventually decided on some variegated Bravo and a yellow Wildflowers.  The two kikus are done slightly differently from each other.

Temari from Elsie

I received this beautiful ball last month, from Elsie.  We participated in a kiku exchange through the Talk Temari Yahoo group.  I love the design and her execution.  It's beautiful!

Thanks Mouse!

I received this wonderful chart, some fabric, and some other things from Mouse last week.  Aren't they beautiful?  She even made a great handmade card to go with it!  This is part of the Friendly Stitchers' group Calendar Girls exchange.  Thanks so much, Mouse!  I love it!
