Temari for Annie

This temari, in the colors of the Kosovo flag, came out so cheery!  I like the design I made up and the recipient does too.  She is moving to Japan with her parents, so she may see more of these.

Karen's Temari

Karen is a friend who left post a week and a half ago.  I made this temari for her before she left.  I made up the pattern and think it came out pretty good.

For The CLO

I was asked to make a temari for the community liaison office to auction off silently.  The proceeds will be used to fund events for the embassy community next year.

First Temari In A While

Someone loved the design of this temari from one of my books, so I made it.  Came out pretty well even though I changed the colors quite drastically.

Teaching Temari

I will be teaching this S 10 kiku design to embassy peeps in November.  This is the sample temari.  I like the unusual colors.

Back To Temari

This is the first temari I've made here in Angola.  It's a present for a friend with a temari collection - he'd been stationed in Japan.  It came out pretty well, I think.

Temari Kit

Andreas bought this temari kit for me from Japan.  I wanted to try out the thread brand in it.  I was even thrilled to get a pre-marked ball.  Maybe I will do it this weekend.

Star On Red

This is my first temari finished in Angola.  I gave it as a birthday gift last night.  I kind of like the little star in the big one.

Gift From Carolina

Carolina made this beautiful temari for me as a parting gift.  It's even in Moldovan colors so I will always have a bit of Moldova with me.  Thank you Carolina!

New Temari Book

I have not had a new temari book in quite a while, and Andreas found this one on ebay for me.  He ordered it, I have it, and I will be making some temari from it soon.

Temari For Lauren

Our friend Lauren is going through a really hard time.  She had to be medevaced to the US.  I made this temari for her husband to take to her during a two week visit so she'd know we were thinking of her.

Temari - Been A While

I am making this temari for two reasons - for a friend who's going through a difficult time and because Talk Temari is going through kiku variations.  I like the look of this so far.

Starry Temari

I based this temari on one by Barb Suess.  The pattern isn't too hard, but it does have disparate elements.

Elsie's Temari

Elsie sent me this fantabulous C10 wrapped temari covered in stars and sparkles.  People see it and they have to pick it up.  It even rattles!  Thank you so much for the temari, Elsie!

Temari For Elsie

Elsie and I have had an exchange going for over a year, but it's finally done!  She sent me a lovely temari that you will see in a day or two and I sent her this large kiku thing.  The colors cheered me up as i stitched it, so I hope they cheer her up whenever she looks at it, too!

Serenity Temari

I made this temari for a friend who retired from the foreign service over the summer.  It's inspired by the flag from Firefly, one of his favorite shows.

Serenity Temari

This is a gift for a friend who's a big Firefly fan.  The idea is that it mimics the Serenity Valley flag.

Finally Back To Temari

I had started this temari way back at the beginning of the year and finally finished it this last week.  It's made with some overdyed pearl cottons that are pretty rare, and, because I had bought only one of each color, I had to be creative with its use.  It feels good to get back to temari.

Drought Broken

I finally worked on a temari after a summer drought of it.  I am hoping to be able to work more as I get some time off this coming week.

Gifted

Florine and her family came to visit us last week.  It was a great time and we miss them already.  She also gifted me this beautiful rose garden temari in the shiny kyo threads.  It's gorgeous, and I will treasure it always.
