Monogram Block - Colleen

Last month, we started the Monogram round robin.  Here is the first block I received - Colleen's.  At first, I wasn't taken with the block, but then it really grew on me.
I had to stop myself from adding more to it than I did.  Once I started working on it, the ideas just kept coming.  I hope she likes what I've done.

Adding Some Beads

I got a third section of City Walk done.  It's a beaded one, and the beads are strung in an odd pattern.  The directions were muddled, but the diagram helped a lot.

Fashion Faux Pas

Would you wear these things parading down the street?

Millions of Peaches

I have the feeling that I'm going to have done millions of peach colored stitches by the time I'm done with this.  All the work this round has been peach colored.  At least it's done, right?

Bordered

I am down to underlining the outer border of Chilly Wind.  I work on it while waiting for the shawarma to be made or when I'm in the doctor's waiting office.  It's progressing, and that is good.

Buttons!

Ana found this button maker here in town and got together a group buy for us.  I put in a hundred pesos (about $5) and got all these cute laser-cut buttons.  They are supposedly out of some kind of exotic wood, but I don't know what.  They'll be used for crazy quilting soon.

Muumuus, Leggings, and Animal Prints....

Today's selection of parade pictures ... tomorrow evening we go to the inaugural parade which kicks off the "official" Carnaval fetivities!
