All But The Top

I'm so close to finishing this!  All that's left is the last part.  I'll be glad when it's done.  It'll be a nice, big finish, which I need as a morale booster.

Katherine And Back To The Duc

In our aimless wandering, we found the statue of Katherine the Great and four of her ministers/lovers.  Also took some pictures of interesting building details and found our way back to the Potemkin Steps and the Duc de Richelieu.

Thank You Sue!

We had an exchange of temari back in the spring.  I had to hurry and make mine quickly because, while I was back in the US, our ability to mail items from post was severely curtailed.  Temari are too big to fit in the small box we're allowed now.  So, I hurried and made, with the aid of my friend Florine, a ball for Sue.  It was the one with all the nautical charms on it; she sails.  In return, I received this one a couple of weeks ago.  I love the colors and the design!   I'm going to have to try it myself, as I'm getting to be a little bit comfortable with C10 marking.  Thank you so much for the ball, Sue!  I love it!

Lunch At The Pub

 There are a bunch of restaurants along Deribosovskaya Street; one is a pub.  Andreas was pleased that it had real sandwiches on the menu.  Ergo, he had a Greek salad and a club sandwich.  I had fried cheese and chicken with lavash.  I -thought- the chicken was going to be in the lavash, but no.  The cheese was quite bland.  Andreas said the club sandwich was good, at least.  We had to fight the wind the whole time - it was trying to blow our food away.

 It's Nissan's answer to the Mini Cooper, the Juke.  Was just parked on the street and I like the look of this car, so I made Andreas take pictures.
