An About Time Finish

After a couple of years, Oriental Courage is finally done.  It's my first Heaven and Earth Designs finish, too!  It's for Andreas, so I think we'll turn it into part of a netbook cover or something similar.

Down To One

I'm finally down to the last building on the bottom.  Yay, I am getting so much closer!

Squared Again

I could stop here if I wanted, but there's more yet to do.

Starting In

I've started finishing up this piece.  Hopefully, I can get it done fairly quickly, since it's almost done.  One problem is that the colors are so very close together looking.  Luckily the flosses are presorted and labeled.

A Bit More Gold

This is Jacqui's block for the Fool's Gold round robin.  I had a hard time thinking of what to do with it because it's already very busy  with the fabric patterns and because it's already got so much gold on it.  I did manage something, though.  It looks even busier on the bottom than when I started.

Greeking It Again

The McCues wanted Greek food a couple of weeks ago, so we took them to El Greco.  We don't mind going there often.  I tried a different soup - the ciorba.  It had a fried egg cut up and put into it plus more noodles than zeama.  The usual gyro and Greek salad for Andreas, and I had the kiftedakanas (spelling's bad, I know).  The little beef and lamb patties tasted really good.  We weren't able to stay very long, as the McCue children were getting a bit restless.  Luckily for the rest of the diners, we were in the back room and  they didn't disturb many other people.

Getting Centered

Because of the way the chart is, it's really hard to go directly across the top like I usually do.  I'm starting to go around that now by getting counts in the center and will be working my way back up and leftward soon.  Once I'm done with this, I'll be able to work the chart top to bottom in the manner I like to.
